“This was my 19th foreclosure and after meeting with John and hearing his recommendations for making this into a cost effective rental, I decided to let them make virtually all the decisions within an overall budget. Usually I am very hands on, effectively the GC. Here I let them do their job and am happy with the result. No job is without some issues, esp. what the bid includes/doesn't include. All issues were resolved satisfactorily within a few minutes. I would not hesitate to use them again, inc. on my own residence.”

“Kevin Skelly built my house 8 years ago. It was such a terrific experience that we have remained friendly ever since. It is a modern house with clean lines that demanded care and perfect angles. He and his crew were as demanding that it be right as we were. The house sits on a very difficult site in the mountains without a lot of room to maneuver, yet it went well and with the exception of some weather delays had a timely completion. We had an expert come in at the framing stage to make sure everything was OK and Kevin was highly complimented for his work and he made the small adjustments recommended happily. Kevin and the architect worked as a team, which saved a lot of money and stress and time. Any changes needed were much simpler and instead of reams of working drawings, they were so used to working together that it went without any problems at all.”

“The Salamander Co. built the home in Taos where we curreently live. The house is a showcase inside and out. The details, the woodwork, tile,plaster etc. are superb. This is a highly knowlegable, highly professional company. Every time I show off the house I make sure to point out the details such as the wide windowsills or the back screen porch with a brick floor, and red pine half walls and posts coming seamlessly out of the top. “I am a REALTOR, and am associated with a number of contractors, including cabinet, granite, and quartz installers. I was introduced to Max Watkins of Southwest Countertops to assist the owner of a high-end home in acquiring bathroom cabinets and countertops. I then referred him to an owner/investor of a fairly low-end flip for kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops. Then, I referred him to a person who wanted to remodel something special for her elderly mother. Max went way beyond his scope of work in assisting all of these parties in choosing the right combination cabinets, countertops, and fixtures. He offered his expertise in reviewing tile choices for both projects, too. He designs the entire package! As I said, I work with a lot of contractors, but I have never seen such a strong work ethic as Max Watkins. He has such incredible insight as to what will look right, what is the best investment, and what will work for all my clients' personalities and goals. These were completely different projects, and yet, ALL of my clients were thrilled with his recommendations! He is honest, and he listens to what a client wants. I truly cannot recommend Max and his company enough!”

“Douglas is a man of integrity. ALL of his subcontractors would be someone I would invite to dinner! When ever there was a problem, Douglas made sure it was attended to immediately. After the construction we discovered a broken pipe...not one his team had installed, but he paid through his insurance for the entire redo of the area where the pipe broke. The insurance company said they could not believe that Douglas did not want to contest any part of the claim. They said he must be a terrific person. Regarding the construction.: Douglas designed a .5 bath and a .75 bath from a former ugly, useless single bath. The design was perfect. Both bathrooms are roomy and contain ore than adequate storage for everything and more. Everyone who has seen it has been very impressed.”

“Kay Beason has been in the home building business for decades. She has won several prestigious awards, and some very recently. I have walked through her homes in different stages of completion. It's evident that she takes no shortcuts, and uses only the best quality materials from the ground up. She's known for taking the time to really determine what's important to her client, and then following through all the way to the final touches to make those dreams a reality. I highly recommend Kay and all her employees at Reliance Construction!”

“Ric Rutherford is the owner of his company. We hired him, along with two other firms, to give us an estimate for a kitchen and master bath remodel. Ric was professional, friendly and easy to work with.We had a great idea about what we wanted to do, but Ric had some more ideas and really helped us to realize our vision for the space. We decided to table the complete work until next year, and hired his firm to do a couple of small jobs on the bathrooms, really to see his work ethic. The jobs were done to a high standard with respect for the space. There was a small accident in which a nightstand was damaged by a falling piece of lumber, and Ric took the nightstand and had it completely repaired in a timely manner. We plan to hire Ric and his company next spring to do the kitchen and master bath, and will enthusiastically recommend his company to anyone needing a remodel.”
