“Mike Blake Custom Homes was highly recommended by my architect. When it came to building our dream home, my wife and I were very picky. I had heard horror stories from others that had built custom homes that "you and your builder will hate each other by the time your house is finished". After hearing that, I was concerned that I would have to compromise a lot on my thoughts and ideas for the house and on the overall quality that I would likely be demanding. Turns out there was no reason to feel that way. Quality was never an issue. I thought I would have to be present nearly every day to oversee things to be sure they were done right but I soon realized that was not necessary. They had things well under control without me and it was a big relief knowing that things would be done right. I can honestly say that my wife and I have actually become closer and better friends with Mike and Kim than we were before we built. In fact, we have been out to dinner with them several times since our home was completed. They were both very helpful all along the way during construction and were more like partners in the process rather than builders. Picking out colors, styles, etc. seemed like a daunting task but Kim was right with us holding our hand every step of the way. Early after moving in, there were a few minor issues that needed attention and Mike was very prompt about coming out to fix/repair when I notified him. We have had no major warranty issues at all since moving in. Overall, we have no regrets and would not think twice about using Mike and Kim again as our builders. You will be very pleased with their professionalism and the quality of the finished product. They will stand behind everything they do!”

“RC Construction was was our lifeline to completing our lakehouse. We had an extremely difficult situation, where our previous contractor walked on the job and Ricky Self and his team came right in, got the project going again and the final product was beyond what we imagined. We are so happy with our lakehouse and EVERY time someone sees it for the first time they comment on how beautiful and unique it is. We would not heistate to use them again as well as recommend them to anyone. I would be happy to provide specific information for anyone that needed it - they are the best in the business!!!”

“Scott and Laurie Redfearn are an absolute dream to work with! My husband and I spent 2 years working with Scott on customizing our house plan until it was exactly what we wanted. Scott was patient, knowledgeable and creative with us. Once we began construction, Scott and Laurie were always available for meetings and progress reports. They kept us informed about our budget every step of the way. If we asked for something over our initial contract, they were upfront with us about the cost to make the change or upgrade so that we could make an informed decision on whether or not the change was worth it! We had always heard that building a house was a stressful experience...but with Scott and Laurie, it was fun - and we have our dream house!”

“After interviewing several different custom home builders, we chose Burnett Construction, of Yantis, TX, to build our lake house, and they were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. They came highly recommended by numerous previous clients, architects, and other professionals in the community, so we were confident they could deliver a quality product! They were extremely easy to work with, very positive and friendly, very knowledgeable regarding every aspect of the construction process, as well as being great communicators and keeping us constantly informed on all important issues. Above all, they were very trustworthy and honest. The only issue that we weren't thrilled over was the time it took to complete the project, which ran over schedule, but having built 9 homes, we knew this was a potential/probable issue that could be encountered with any builder. Now that our home is completed (and gorgeous!!!) Burnett Construction continues to stand behind the finished product, and they have been very accommodating when it comes to working on punch list items, or any problem/issue we might find.....they want each of their clients to be completely satisfied! We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to build or remodel a home.”

“Don Freeman is a man of his word. This company is very professional and highly respected. The job is done as quoted and no hidden fee. He is on site and his workers are very professional and hard at work. He has the job done on time, if not earlier. I trust don freeman and highly recommend this person. My husband and I bought a house, the other construction company became our nightmare. They mess up our house and abandon us. A friend told us about don freeman. Don came over and told us what needed to be done and we agree, he made the nightmare go away and gave us our house back. He was very nice and became a good friend. He understands the fear about hiring contractors, once you use him, you will never let him go.”
