“Dave Rasmussen and all of the people that work with him are among the most highly skilled, resourceful, honest and considerate people that we have ever had work on our home. Deadlines and budgets were respected and for the most part were adhered to, unless we changed the scope of work. On many aspects of the construction we were presented with various options so that the completed project (a kitchen, pantry, bar, family room and finished lower level) was very tailored to our needs. The whole crew was respectful to our neighbors who never complained during the year-long project. Dave worked seamlessly with architect David Gast, whom I would also highly recommend, so that the entire project proceeded smoothly without time delays or problems of communication.”

“Patrick Kieley remodeled everything in my condo. He did a wonderful job!!! He is very easy to work with, I always felt good because I always knew he was taking care of everything and treated my project as if he owned it!! “We purchased a mid-century ranch home and needed Character Builders to remodel two bathrooms, relocate laundry from a utility room off the kitchen to the back area of one of the bathrooms, oversee refinishing wood floors throughout, install new molding on all doors and windows, texture all walls, and supervise complete painting of the whole interior, all with a 7-week deadline so we could move in before the lease ran out on our apartment! The master bathroom design began with a difficult footprint - a long narrow room with no water closet and closet space behind louvered doors along one wall. The remodel of that room was fabulous. Keith delivered everything we wanted in the 'whole house remodel' despite the time crunch we imposed. He would let me know the decisions and selections needed for the next step of the remodel with plenty of time for me to give him my answer. His subcontractors did great work. Keith encountered many things that were unexpected in remodeling a home more than 60 years old; he would have two or three solutions that he would present to us, and would let us choose. I appreciated his collaboration with us most of all.”

“Silvio and his team are fantastic. We have worked with them on two project over the course of several years - they remolded our basement and most recently our kitchen. Silvio is exceptionally professional, timely, and fair. HE also has great aesthetic taste; he has made suggestions to improve our house that our architect hasn't even thought about. We implemented many of them and haven't regretted any. His crew is friendly, respectful and hard working. I highly recommend them.”

“My experiences with Jason McClure have all been extremely positive! He is a true professional and a great person to work with. He has done projects in my parents former home that my niece and her family now live in. He did several projects on site. Electrical, plumbing, insulation, lighting, roofing, painting, tile work, bridge repair and other jobs as requested. He has some wonderful ideas, but always listened to what was wanted and offered his expert advice on what would work best. Jason has done projects for me for the past 3 to 4 years. Jason also did some landscaping work at my home as well as a covered area on an existing arbor. He and his family are wonderful and always will have a positive review from me!! “I have several reasons for highly recommending Smith & Son Inc. Our project was the installation of a composite deck over a worn out cement patio. Out of the three quotes we received, Lance Smith not only provided us with a detailed quote very quickly, he was the only individual we met with who followed up with us by telephone to discuss his quote. This discussion led to further clarity regarding our project and savings on the overall cost, putting us within our budget. Lance recommended a particular decking material which we are extremely pleased with. Knowing we were eager to start, Lance found a way to begin our project much sooner than expected. His three man crew was led by a seasoned and experienced foreman who not only guided his team, but also checked in with us frequently to make sure we were satisfied. Noe took great pride in his work and was very eager to please. They kept the work area tidy and safely stowed their equipment at the end of their workday. We are very happy with the finished project which exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to use Smith & Son again and would highly recommend them to friends and family.”
