“Beach home renovation: complete kitchen remodel, bathrooms, floors, ceilings (remove popcorn), additions of bedroom and bath, addition of double car garage, outdoor shower, patio and upstairs deck. Builder went above and beyond to do a great job. Made great ideas better, used high quality materials and had excellent workers. Always provided access to professionals if needed. Builder was a perfectionist at the craft- would go back and change things that were not quite perfect, but acceptable to us. This made for a truly great experience. Was always very honest in challenging design details, yet always went the extra mile to make sure our desires could be met. There wasn't a challenge he could find a solution that never sacrificed quality or design, in fact, he presented several design changes that were fantastic and something we didn't think of and we know renovation. Our renovation is beautiful and magazine worthy.”

“Mr. Klein has completed several projects at my house, all to my complete satisfaction. He traced and fixed a roof leak over my bonus room which had eluded the professional employed by the previous owners, then repaired and painted the damaged interior ceiling and wall. When I had settling cracks appear in my 14 year old property, he traced the problem to the absence of a footing which should have been installed during construction. He installed the necessary footing, working in a four foot high crawl space to do it, then repaired the cosmetic damage in the house. He also repaired some water-damaged sub-floor in preparation for installing new carpet. I have found Mr. Klein to be smart, honest, reliable and very reasonably priced. The project cost below is for the installation of the footing and cosmetic repairs only.”

“After spending one year looking at new homes throughout the Wilmington, NC area, my wife and I found that every time we came across a home that we loved it was built by Hagood. Once we purchased a property we went to Hagood and introduced ourselves. The builder is Jim Kenny, his wife Troy, designs the homes. Right away we knew that they were the team for us. Troy's designs are open and cheerful and the space is well thought out. Jim and his team are practical builders that understand budgets. They can build you a mansion or a wonderful beach bungalow. Throughout the build process all the members of the Hagood team have been responsive to our needs and our worries. Todd Plocharczyk was our direct link to Hagood Homes and oversaw all the details. I wouldn't consider building a new home without him.”

Mark Wilsey met with us throughout the building process to discuss our expectations and any changes. Mark was very accommodating and open to our thoughts and concerns. We have been in our home for 4 years and we could not be happier with the construction and floorplan. “We first drove through the Cottages in September 2015. We knew instantly that this was the place for us. The sidewalks on both sides of the street, beautiful landscaping, sufficient parks and open spaces, wide welcoming porches, all wrapped around 3 heavily treed ponds, combined to create a neighborhood like no other that we’d seen. After touring the Seaside model, we went straight to the office to sign papers. The build of the house was well planned and well executed. We met for a day with the Cottages staff to go through selections and customizations. A project manager was assigned early in the build process, and this person made sure that the details decided during the selection step were accurately implemented. A walk through with the project manager was done at roughly the half way point, to make sure everyone was on the same page. The project manager kept an eye on things throughout, and this reduced the likelihood of errors, and made for a very small punch list as the project wound down. The project came in on time, and on budget. The house turned out perfect. We love everything about it. Thanks to Scott and Michelle Cook, and the rest of the Cottages staff for doing such a wonderful job on our house.”
