I highly recommend Zen and his team! The final result of our efficiently planned architecturally designed replacement rear addition on a modest budget surpassed my expectations and both Zen and Beth went to greater lengths to extend the scope further throughout the house which tied the new and old together seamlessly and created an incredible sense of spatial luxury and additional character. Construction was lightning fast, smooth and efficient. Zen is driven, imaginative and practical while striving to achieve the original architectural intent with incredible attention to detail.

Zen and his team were amazing. Excellent craftsmanship throughout. They finished our renovation ahead of schedule. Which allowed us to do some landscaping within the budget. We are incredibly happy with our new home. If we ever decided to build again, we will be calling on Zen for sure.

I wish there were more than 5* available. We honestly can’t fault Zen and his crew. The whole process was amazing. He was approachable and easy going and listened to our ideas to make them work. Zen has a team of amazing trades working with him, who all worked so well to make this happen. We were on time and on budget, and wouldn’t have wanted to go through this with anyone else. We are so grateful that Zenya (of Henarise) was recommended to us by our friends Claire and David from MacMahons Point. Zenya and his team proved themselves to be a very efficient, highly skilled, communicative, trustworthy and friendly bunch. Our job was an extensive renovation of an 100+ year old single storey, 2 bedroom, dark, uninsulated terrace in Erskineville. We now have a beautiful, bright, spacious 2 storey, 4 bedroom home. We only needed to have short weekly site meetings with Zenya because he had a very clear understanding of the project and what we wanted of our home. If issues came up between meetings, Zenya was quick to contact us for a speedy resolution. Zenya is an incredibly experienced, adaptable and thoughtful professional who was always open to exploring novel materials and design solutions. Zenya has a wonderful eye for detail, and being personally interested in design he gave us very helpful advice and suggestions when we were finding decisions hard to make. Some specific parts of our house that we want to thank Zen and his team for are our gorgeous wooden staircase, concrete kitchen bench top made on-site, timber deck, brick wall using reclaimed bricks from the old house, and the exposed brick walls in two of the bedrooms and hallway. Another aspect of Zen and his team that we really liked, and we think shouldn't be underestimated, is how well they all interacted with our neighbours. Quite a few of our neighbours commented on how nice and respectful Zen and his team were...and it's always good to keep your neighbours happy when you can! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Zen to anyone (in fact we already have). We love the job he's done building our house and we loved working with him. Oh...and he completed the job right on time!

My husband and I hired Zenya and the Henarise team for a complete gutting, half demolition and rebuild of our terrace house in Newtown. We had deliberated for a long time before commencing work as it was the first time that we had done any sort of project like this and the prospect of it while exciting was a little daunting. From the beginning of the project to the end Zenya was fantastic with advice and guided us through many decisions that we had to make along the way. I was amazed as how much the team accomplished in such a short time-frame. Our home came in right on the estimated time-frame and on budget. The result is amazing we are so happy with the quality of the final product living in our house now is a complete dream.

Zen and the guys at henarise built our dream home, from the very beginning the professionalism and high quality workmanship was evident, nothing was ever to hard. The level of communication was outstanding, he was always contactable and emails were always replied to. I tend to as a LOT of questions, these were always recieved with respect and understanding, everything was explained clearly. Time management was exceptional as our dream home was built in 8 months. By far the greatest attribute henarise enabled us to have was trust, at no point throughout the build did we have to question anything, they have the same respect and care as you would expect as if it were their own house. The end product exceeded expectations and we would highly reccomend henarise to anyone thinking of building.

Henarise was the contract builder for our renovation. They did a great john and delivered the project on time despite we changing our minds. Highly recommend Zenya and his team. He is very approachable and accommodating.

I have worked with Zenya from Henrise on many architectural projects over the last 15 years. Good architectural projects require high level of craftsmanship, intelligence and consideration on every job. Over many years Zen and his team have never failed to deliver. Zenya is able to accurately cost projects, stay on budget and deliver each project in a timely manner. The most common comments I get from my clients about Zenya and his team are; 'How chilled is Zenya? Nothing is a problem for him...I can ask him anything'. Very good experience. Communication was great and workmanship standard very high. Timeframe and budget was stuck to and the builder (Zen) and his guys were very easy and honest to deal with (unusual in this industry!!). Would definitely use them again.

We did a big renovation. Demolished the rear of the property and rebuilt a new extension. The works were as sustainable as possible - lots of recycled materials, insulation, thermal mass, double glazing, green roof, stormwater management, rainwater harvesting etc etc (see blog at http://northsydneyecohouse.wordpress.com/) . Zenya and his team did an excellent job. Very easy to work with and made the build a pleasure. They are extremely fast which is great as labour is the biggest cost on any build - but didn't cut corners. Happy to do what we wanted but made lots of great suggestions and gave excellent advice. Trades were also great - plumbing and electrical exactly what we wanted, and again, they provided us with excellent advice and recommendations. They were well organised, very quiet (our neightbours loved them!), reliable and well priced. The house is working well - staying cool on hot days and warm on cold nights. The vegetated green roof is looking good but will be much better once the plants have grown. And there's definitely no leaks - we have had heaps of rain since it was built! Billing from Zenya was great - very clear and transparent and easy to keep up with what we were spending our money on, with a spreadsheet of all materials used and copies of receipts. We were also provided with a 'cost to complete' spreadsheet which was great for working out how many things we could do that were on our wish list. They finished the job on time and under budget which was a great suprise. Like everyone else, we have watched enough episodes of Grand Designs to think that building always costs twice as much and takes twice as long as you expect - except when you use a builder like Henarise. If we built again we wouldn't even bother to go out for quotes, we would just use Henarise.
