Working with Ownit Homes was a fantastic experience. From the very beginning their professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail were unmatched. Our build was quite complex due a difficult block, but they worked with us to resolve some tough decisions, and turned our vision into a beautiful home that exceeded our expectations in every way. The team were communicative, reliable, and truly dedicated to quality. We couldn't be happier with the result!

We had a disgusting experience with this company. We lost thousands of dollars because ofunexceptable delays. This was accompanied with a poor quality Finnish.and poor attitude to addressing build quality.

Here are some reasons why I highly recommend Ownit Homes to build your next home (Not just a place to crash): Reasons to consider Ownit Homes: • Affordability: Ownit Homes offers complete transparency. You’ll have the freedom and peace of mind to choose materials and understand potential costs without being limited to a predetermined selection of colours, materials, and appliances. From my experience, Ownit Homes is willing to do maths with you. • Customisation: This is the bread and butter of Ownit Homes. You have control over how you want your home to be. They prioritise your designs and ensure you won’t feel pressured into using pre-designed plans from their displays or brochures. If you’re into specific requirements for structurals, materials and appliances (and in my case; government’s infrastructural requirements), Ownit Homes is more than willing to accommodate your needs. • Addressing Issues Beyond Construction: Few building companies are willing to go the extra mile to resolve issues with their clients. For instance, I faced a covenant problem that was my fault entirely. My home was about 80% complete, but because of this issue the construction was at risk of being demolished (no exaggeration, got legal papers to prove this). Ownit Homes didn’t turn away or threaten legal action against me. Instead, we sat down together to find an acceptable solution that adhered to the covenant code while allowing us to complete the home. Long story short, everything ended up compliant. • Deliverance and Results: What you see, what you want is what you get. The result of the home after overcoming numerous obstacles and challenges did not compromise. Built as promised with fixable defects (those who are less familiar with building homes, ‘every’ construction is guaranteed to have defects). Nothing to complain about really. Why do I rate Ownit Homes 5 stars? Simply put, Couldn’t find ways to give them a 7-star rating on Google Reviews. Ownit Homes deserves to be recognised as a 7-star building company.

Poor Quality control, inefficient communication,messy management , they might be gd in the past but definitely not now,

The build process was made easy by the office team at Own It Homes. They were helpful and provided guidance through the design process. The actual build itself was good initially, the builder gave us regular updates on progress. However at the end of the build there was limited transparency in additional cost as well as our final inspection failing. This issue meant that we had to postpone our own trades, which would have been understandable, however we were not given the information and only found out by our initiative late the night before our concreter was meant to attend.

Smooth construction. Great staff who were helpful along the whole process. No major problems throughout the build and would be happy to recommend Ownit Homes to prospective builders.

Build 2020 Our second home build Double story home with roof terrace - with no landscaping Our contract was signed in Sept 2019. Sent for council approval over Christmas and construction started in late Jan 2020. House handover was Jul 2020 ( including some substantial wet days). From the moment we first walked through the display homes ( Mango Hill ) and met our Sales agent Kurt Clarke we were made to feel welcomed and freely given answers to any questions we had about the builder. We were offered all the information and details we needed with no pressure about a decision. We spent a lot of time researching builders and features we wanted in our home and our decision to build with Ownit homes was made a lot easier by the excellent customer service. We received quick responses to emails sent, flexibility to change plans and overall eagerness to build us an amazing home. We chose to build a reverse living home (we moved the kitchen and living upstairs) and added features such as laundry and garbage chutes. Ownit Homes were happy to look at all our requested design changes and quote accordingly all before we had signed with them. Once the construction started we were updated weekly from our site supervisor Bob. We also stayed actively involved in the process to ensure things were going to plan. Handover was on time. All items we had were noted down and amended in the weeks post moving in. After handover we had a water leak which was promptly attende

Ownit Homes did a wonderful job at building our new home in Manly, QLD. The actual build turned out really well, overall very happy with the quality. Our Construction Manager, Bob went above and beyond for us, so that we could move in as quickly a possible. He took us through the home for our inspection and always got back to us regarding any queries we had through the build process. We had searched for months for a suitable builder and display home we thought would be ok for our narrow lot. After visiting the Hamilton display home in Upper Kedron, we knew this was the house and builder for us, with such a stunning design for a narrow block. We changed the downstairs layout a little bit to get rid of the study / 5th bedroom and extend the laundry. They were very flexible in allowing us to customise the plan a little build to suit us better. The sales man, Archie, who unfortunately has since moved on was excellent, and was very knowledgeable. In fact he was the most genuine salesperson we came across in our search. The staff at head office are all very pleasant and approachable and take the time to get back to you, they make you feel like you're not just another client. I would go as far to say they go above and beyond to address any concerns, our build had its complexities and it was appreciated that management took an interest to ensure everything was done correctly and on time including excavation, soil testing, acoustic testing, council and building approval, new stormwater connection installation. engineering approval, etc. The only thing I would suggest to Ownit would be to include colour selections and electrical plans at contract stage instead of after and extensive research on what would be needed to build on the block, such as new stormwater connection, soil testing, etc, so that clients do not get a shock with increase in costs. This would make the overall build process more seamless would result in less admin for both builder and client with less contract variations. Overall, they are very affordable and do quality work. If you have a straight forward block to work with a solid build plan in mind, these guys would be 5 stars!

I've recently built a new home with Ownit in Tarragindi. I wanted to say thank you for the team for making it such a good experience. In all seriousness, the process was excellent and a real credit to the team, they were always happy to answer my questions, I would speak to the trades and was in communication with our project manager every single week of the process. My comment when I signed up, was that I think they offer a great product for a great price. Now at the other end of the process, I'm delighted to report it all went to plan!

This was our first build and we are so glad we did it through Ownit homes. We were let down by another company and the Ownit team swooped in and went out of their way to make our dream a reality. From beginning to end the process was simple and fun. We felt like all of the team at Ownit were approachable and supportive and fantastic communicators. Ownit really understands the financial and emotional investment it takes to make a home and we felt that they were with us all the way. They understood our budget and worked with us to make sure that it was maintained. A year on and we are still impressed by the quality of products and workmanship throughout. Would recommend to anyone looking to make their dreams for a beautiful high quality home come true!

Planning to build a house - for the first time in our lives - is a big task! A customized design on a rural block, a high wind-rating, uneven terrain and less than ideal access conditions make it even more tricky. To find a project builder to take on those challenges was a true research activity: OwnIt Homes came out as the top favorite. It was and still is a journey, needless to say, but with comprehensive assistance of the OwnIt team (sales, engineering, design and admin/co-ordination) we finalized the plans, made fit-out selections and processed approvals. We can certainly say that OwnIt Homes operates very professional, all team members are very responsive, they pay attention to detail and importantly – take pride in providing a favorable client outcome. Now, our Hampton style home is half way build. Not even 3 months ago we started and Lock-up stage is around the corner. Excellent workmanship by OwnIt appointed craftsmen is complemented by strict supervision of other contractors through competent site management. Frequent progress updates and forecast on next activities are provided. We are very satisfied with the progress so far and looking forward to move into a modern and feature-rich OwnIt Home soon. Own it home is on positive postion to resolve issues and my house contruction is just started thus I dont know anything else yet. But the construction progress is super fast which can make me to plan ahead of everything. Good work so far.
