“My husband and I hired Kirsten/Sustainable Home to help us with our home remodel last fall at the recommendation of our contractor. We liked that she was knowledgeable about environmental issues related to furnishing and designing a home, and we liked what we saw on her website. What we found in working with her was that, in addition to her "green" knowledge, Kirsten brought a lovely and professional personality to the process. She was friendly, flexible, full of good ideas, a good listener, honest, and good at discerning what my husband and I would like for our decor (in other words, she worked with our vision for the house rather than pushing her own agenda). We were working on a tight timeline, and she was able to pull the project together in time, with just a few non-essential odds and ends remaining that have since been completed. We were incredibly pleased with the results in our home. Choosing to work with her gave us a home we love being in, saved us untold hours of searching for different products on our own, and probably saved us a good bit of money, too, since she was able to focus and direct us. I have recommended her to other friends with pleasure.”

“If I could give Sandra 1000 stars, I would!!! She is Amazing!!! We had never imagined how fabulous our home could be until Sandra brought the vision and the talent!! The incredible transformation all came together in good time and within budget. Sandra helped us to focus our time, money and energy on the things that truly made a difference in getting our home market-ready and bringing in top dollar. Everyone who saw our home loved it!! We had several offers on our home before it even came on the market. We owe it all to Sandra!! As if that weren't enough, Sandra is the sweetest, most caring person whom we could have ever asked for. “How wonderful to have a decorator who does not provide cookie-cutter designs. She looked at our home, listened to who we are and what we wanted and provided us with choices. From our slate entry to our new floors to the built-ins in the family room to our granite in the kitchen and bathroom, it all ties together to provide a warm, comfortable home. We get so many compliments, I think we may have the design others want to copy.”

“We hired Hellen Hsieh, the owner of Design Loft Company, to design our 725 sq ft great room addition. We are so incredibly thrilled with the completed project, it is exactly what we had envisioned. Our existing house was a 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The kitchen and living area was very modest. With two teenagers at home, we needed to expand and wanted more room to entertain. When we started the project we were uncertain if we should knock down walls and remodel the current floor plan and add a small addition or keep the footprint of the existing house exactly the same and add on one large great room. We decided to do the later, however, to get to this point, we went through several different renderings. Hellen provided us with many great options and helped us decide what would be the most economical and feasible plan. She was flexible, patient and was great about pointing out the pros and cons of each option. Her interactions with our architect , contractor and cabinet supplier went very smoothly which helped us to meet specific deadlines. Hellen was maticulous when it came to the kitchen cabinets and made sure everything was ordered properly and our custom stain came out exactly how we wanted. As a designer, she is very creative and knowledgeable. She understood the style and feel we were after. More importantly she was very conscious and respectful of our monetary constraints which helped us complete our entire project within budget. What impressed us most was her understanding of the build process: from the contractors needs, the city requirements, realistic costs and time estimates, appliance installation prerequisites and inspection requirements. We couldn't be more pleased with Design Loft and Hellen's professionalism.”

“My entire experience with Monica was great. She was organized, talented (she has an amazing eye), timely, priced very fairly, and most of all, she really listened to my ideas and helped me to figure out my "vision" for decorating my house. She had so many great ideas to offer. Normally I would not take the time to write a review of someone but I was just so impressed with Monica that I wanted to do so.”

“We bought our house in Atherton two years ago, and hired Paschal O'Reilly of PORI Interiors to decorate the entire house. He is an absolute dream to work with and I could not recommend him more highly. Not only is he extremely talented with a very good eye for proportion and color, but he also provides an exceptionally high level of customer service. In the past we've worked with a number of designers who can select beautiful pieces, but he's far and away the most organized and detail-oriented designer we've ever worked with. The process of working with him was easier than I could have imagined. Another quality I really admire about Paschal is his ability to mix high and low. We ended up choosing some high quality custom pieces, and also some great looking accent pieces from inexpensive retailers. He's not a design snob, and he can get excited about all beautiful pieces--whether they're expensive or not. Along those lines, he also helped me select fun and inexpensive pieces for my children's bedrooms and he understands that not everything needs to be high-end to look nice and function well. All around I simply couldn't recommend him more highly, and couldn't imagine a more positive working relationship.”

“This being our first major remodel to our home of 15 years, the planning and execution was a very daunting task for us because it included our Kitchen, Living room and Family room. We were not sure whether the decisions we take was going to be correct. That is when we met Swati at a booth in an event in Cupertino. Working with Swati was the best decision we took. She helped us with the planning, designing and working with our contractor throughout the project. She came up with practical ideas for our Kitchen. She recommended the stores from where we could buy materials and accompanied us while we shopped for appliances, flooring other major purchases for our project. Swati was always punctual for all appointments and was clear in all her communications. We highly recommend Swati for your home projects.”
