“I have a house in west end which was originally a single level 3 bedroom workers cottage. The house was built in underneath 5 years ago and the upper level (original house) was left un touched and rented in its original state. For added income I decided to rent out the lower levels and moved into the upper one. I was struggling with ideas on how to get the original house (over one hundred years old) to blend in and work with the newer, more modern lower levels. I appointed Dani Louis, to initially get ideas on colour schemes, light fittings, kitchen and bathroom layouts etc. Dani, was extremely helpful and full of great ideas. The house has kept some of its original features ie VJ walls etc, but now blends in nicely, mixing old world with new. Dani has tremendous buying power and sources great deals on fittings, fixtures etc and passes on her savings for all items as part of her service, which was amazing because the savings added up to be a lot more than the fee she charged. I am a very happy customer and would highly recommend Dani Louis Design to anybody wanting to undertake any form of renovation or design consultation. “Jo provided a full interior design specification for the refurbishment of lift foyers for 21 levels and 12 Villas in a Residential Tower Complex at Kangaroo Point Brisbane. The design included all floor wall and ceiling colour charts, wallpaper, new carpet design for the floors and lift cars and mirrors and prints for the walls of each floor foyer, and new door furniture for all Apartment doors.
Jo then managed the actual work including coordinating tradesmen, checking colours, carpet laying, and delivery and hanging of mirrors and prints.”

“We engaged Ruth from The Design Chapter after purchasing and moving to a new house (approx 10 years old) which needed a face lift. Ruth provided us with beautiful colour palettes & mood boards for each room which are compact enough to take shopping for fabrics and furniture etc, and an overall plan of the house showing paint colours and strengths for each wall to tie everything together. Ruth also provided plenty of other suggestions and options for furniture, artwork and accessories.
We are able to work away at the renovations at our own pace as budget permits, but still have these beautiful documents to refer back to when needed to keep us inspired and on track design wise.
Ruth completed all of this in a very timely manner. Overall we had a great experience with The Design Chapter.
