““Working with Katherine from Katherine Charlton Design will be the best decision you make! We recently completed a double-storey extension and a complete home remodel. “Mint Lighting designed the lighting for my two bedroom apartment at Docklands. The apartment was ten years old when I moved in, so we re-painted it, and Mint agreed that I should paint it in the pure white original color: that let them play with the exact color of all the lights. Then we had fun looking at options. In all cases we started with the basic question, "What do you want to see?" The lighting solutions were practical and the results are wonderful. The place now has a very comfortable modern feel. The main light over the dining table is positioned so that from our island bench kitchen we look straight out under the lamp and the light doesn't get in our eyes as we watch TV from the kitchen, or if we are in the kitchen and talking to people sitting at the table. It's extremely tightly focused on the round dining table, so that people sitting there for dinner see the food very clearly but don't have light in their eyes. Another light lands on my new sofa and picks up the colors perfectly. The kitchen is lit by what appear to be very soft puddles in the ceiling, but the light that lands on the preparation bench is very even and clear and it's easy to see everything we are cooking. Adele was easy and fun to work with, and the result is lighting that I could never have designed myself. The costs were very reasonable, including lamps sourced by Mint Lighting.”
