Sarah and Emily from Greenwood's Home are very professional and a pleasure to work with. I purchased an apartment in Brisbane whilst living in another state. I tasked Sarah and Emily with not only coming up with an overall look and feel but also sourcing all the furniture and accessories needed for the apartment. I was regularly sent photos and information about potential furnishings for me to approve or not. Where I didn't like something, I was always offered alternatives and the idea was worked through until I was satisfied with the final product. Sarah and Em from Greenwoods Homes won’t just offer you interior design or renovation services, they will offer you a whole new way of life!! Working with them has been life changing for our family on SO many levels! From the minute we met them their warm, reassuring personalities and fun sense of humour put us at ease and we developed an instant connection and ‘trust’ with this incredibly talented duo. Two things stuck out at me from our first meetings.. Sarah said ‘HOME is a FEELING’ – which made me feel really understood, as that was the most important things for us with our interiors revamp.. we wanted a feeling of clean, fresh, light, cosy, of home, of ease, simplicity and beauty. And did they EVER nail the brief! That’s exactly what we now feel every day! The second thing that stuck out for me was when Sarah said her clients always ask her how did her and Em get everything so ‘right’? And Sarah’s response was that she intuitively just seems to ‘know what her clients need’. And we have now experienced that also – as they couldn’t have nailed what we needed more perfectly! Sarah and Em worked tirelessly with us to make sure we got an incredible end result! They nailed the quite complex brief of needing to furnish a rental, within a budget, and choose pieces that were gorgeous, yet economical and practical for a young family. And also choosing pieces that we could take with us when we buy our own place. They made the whole process fun, reassuring, easy and we were blown away by their work ethic, professionalism, attention to the tiniest details and sense of humour. They handled all the logistics, ordering, delivering and organisation which was critical for a time poor family like us with three kids and a fur baby! We could not have done it without them! The reveal day was up there with our wedding in terms of excitement level! :-) When we opened the front door we were overcome with emotion, gratitude and awe that they had somehow managed to nail everything! Everything looked exquisite and their design taste and selections were perfect! They had read what we were after to a tee and we absolutely loved all of their selections and the incredibly clever way they had pulled it all together. Although we had been involved along the way in all the selections we had no idea how amazing it was all going to look when it all came together! They had thought of everything! The service and final outcome that you will receive from Greenwoods is far better than anything you can imagine! JUST DO IT!! We had a vision of what we wanted to achieve with our 100 year old Queenslander but it was very tricky to find the right team to help bring this vision to life, which didn't involve a major renovation of raising/digging that was not in our budget. Enter Sarah from Greenwood Homes - a wonderful recommendation from a friend who has worked with her on a number of projects before. While Sarah's design and focus was on our kitchen, 2 existing bathrooms and 1 new bathroom and laundry, her advice and support throughout our whole renovation process was invaluable. Sarah's estimated costs throughout the process were spot on, which really helped us make decisions on what we could achieve within our budget. Sarah McCarthy-James, of Greenwood’s Home did a beautiful job designing a new bathroom and laundry and re-decorating throughout our century old Queenslander. Always respectful of the style and history of the house, she created a timeless, coordinated schema, tying the old with the new seamlessly. Sarah introduced me to a range of suppliers that I would not have otherwise know about; especially local photographer Kara Rosenlund and ceramicist Kym Wallace. Sarah has a very good eye for colour and proportion but she does not forget the practical aspects necessary for comfortable living in a family home. She kept a close eye on the budget, so there were no surprises there, which is always a good thing! I highly recommend Sarah. She is very talented, great to work with and although she does work in a range of styles as required by her clients, I found she has a special affinity for and understanding of the old Queenslander style.

I have recently gone through a divorce and wanted to lose certain memories associated with my home, in particular my master bedroom. I have never used an interior designer before but I am so pleased I chose Sarah. I trusted Sarah with the full design of my bedroom and living room. I actually had no idea what I wanted or what would work in my home so I trusted in her design completely. It has been 3 years since we completed our complete home renovation with the assistance of Sarah. I regularly have visitors to our home comment how beautiful our home is - I always have to admit that the design choices were Sarah's suggestions. Sarah worked with our builder to create a complete finish guide to all the finishes and colours for our home. It ensured that the renovation was completed exactly as we wanted it from our brief to Sarah. If you are considering a large renovation, I would highly recommend engaging Sarah early in the plannings stages to save yourself a lot of time and possible costly mistakes.

We had a fantastic experience with Sarah, renovating our kitchen, laundry, and living and dining rooms. Our family made a decision to relocate from our Sydney home to Brisbane with very short notice. With our two children anxious about the move, we knew we needed someone to help us create a warm and inviting haven for our family to start our new chapter in our lives. Sarah came highly recommended and was the perfect answer to our quest. Not only is Sarah exceptionally talented as a designer with great style and an eye for detail, she also has excellent project coordination and communication skills that set her apart. These skills were critical in successfully completing our project so we could continue to work overseas and commute between Sydney and Brisbane. We knew what we liked and didn’t like in the way of a design style but we couldn’t find a specific genre to describe it. Sarah listened and digested our ideas and guided us to develop our own unique style whilst working within our budget. Once she was clear on the scope of work, we were more than happy to hand over our keys and let Sarah work her magic. Sarah was warm and professional and made the process very easy and fun. She kept us informed throughout the whole process and was able to accommodate our busy work schedules. Sarah transformed our house into a beautiful urban retreat by mixing some of our existing furnishings and little treasures collected through our travels, with new furnishings she sourced for us. One of our goals was to create zones in our home that could be easily transformed as our family needs change – she achieved this seamlessly and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Our family loves spending time in our new home and we can’t thank Sarah enough for making our relocation so effortless.

Sarah did a fantastic job of adding "soul" to our 13 year-old apartment. She was presented with a series of unique challenges and in every respect met or exceeded the brief.
