Pretty much all the advice we were going to suggest has already been given - this is why we love Houzz so much! A full 'Houzz' of top notch advice :) The only thing we would say, in addition to good soil and planting with the seasons, is to keep on top of the weeds and make sure you're planting the right herbs/edible plants where the sun is right. Weed mats are a great option, and others swear buy mulch/grass clippings too! I love that firepit Planted Passion. legendaryflame Im in lower Blue Mountains so not proper heights for rhododendrons. I guess my vision is to have some more shade in summer, spots of colour for bees and birds, a haven to come home to. We would love all of the things you have mentioned. This is our home for the next 20 years, so we have time to work at our own pace, im not sure what the priority should be. id love 1 or 2 maples sitting either side of some lovely stairs going down the middle of where the pigface is. im not sure if maples are tough enough.

Flip up and bi-fold are indeed "all or nothing" options that can be tricky to screen too. Both also rely heavily on well-engineered operating mechanisms and as such come with increased potential for problems. I once stayed in a house on North Stradbroke Island which had a large flip up gas strut supported timber framed window over the north facing kitchen sink with views to Cape Moreton. (I now wish I had a photo to share, but sadly I was too much in the moment to take any.) Standing at the sink, looking north over the Coral Sea with Humpback whales breaching in the distance was one of those forever moments. Plus, our elevated situation seemed to reduce the number of insects that came through the unscreenable window. In that case I wouldn't have compromised on spending to get that window out of the way. For just about every other context I would opt for a less complex, less costly, screenable, servery style window.

Congratulations on starting a new business and following your passion. It looks like you are off to a good start with some beautiful homewares, that have been well designed, and which are presented well on your website. It is really hard at the start but you need to get your products in front of as many eyeballs as possible, and social media is a cost-effective way.
