In general I'd probably say purple couch? No, I don't think so. But I have seen a few that look good. And the one in the picture you have posted is beautiful and suits that room so well.

If you move the sofa along the wall, not only would it give a more balanced look, more importantly it will be safer further away from the window. You don’t want the sofa to be a climbing aid to an open window (can’t see if your window has restricted opening or not), or the blind cord (although that does look like the cord is secured part way down the frame so there is not a large loop, which would be a strangulation hazard). And unless you have really tall children, they may take more notice of the posters if they were at their eye level! If it’s just the slip overs then IKEA have a good range of loose cover sofas and you can get custom cushions and covers imported from the UK for quite a good price. If it’s the extra depth then you will probably need custom made. Google the suppliers suggested.
