The second look like they are designed for stairwells so I'd be a bit wary about using them up higher as the light might be a bit "spotlight" and not diffuse enough. I think both styles work with your house design

The sample house looks fantastic. You have oodles of options for headboard from covered to solid, incorporating side tables or not, to ceiling feature wall, etc. you really just need to look at pics at make a personal choice

Which way is the room orientated ? In other words , where do you intend to put the TV , bookshelf , cabinets , etc ? To me , that is the wall you make a feature of , and as dreamer says , wallpaper ( or even timber or similar ) would be preferable . Having said all that , the other evening I went to a restaurant , and it had 1 side wall that was done in those 3D 'wavy' tile things -- I guess it was the feature wall ( the wall opposite had a TV , the bar , a couple of works of art ; the entrance wall was mostly glass and the door ; the rear was the kitchen ) but there was nothing apart from that on that wall , and it looked really smart , and lifted what would have been a pretty plain room . In a home situation , I guess you'd have say Wall 1 as the one with the cabinets and shelves and TV , and Wall 2 as the 'wavy' feature wall .

You could do built in cabinetry that houses the tv, has storage as well as open shelving for displays. Depending on your house style a mid century ladderax style modular unit would fill the space and provide flexible storage. Stacked stone can look great or perhaps a low bench that you could put the tv on or wall mount above and also lean artwork or add lighting/lamps. If you do decide to clad, wallpaper or paint a feature, consider how you would finish this on the corner edge on the outside of bedroom 3. Working to an inside corner is always easier to finish neatly.
