Style showdown: Chesterton or modular sofa

Which sofa do you think is the most stylish?

One evokes a bygone era of sitting cigars and libraries, while the other is a contemporary choice ready for easy entertaining.

    Hi Luke,
    Definitely a Chesterfield or Chesterton as you call it, would sell a kidney to have a real one!!!

    @wuff,
    Actually, I found a Chesterfield look alike some years ago at Domain I think, called the Americana, amazingly comfortable but huge, built for giants, even the chairs were like a day bed in length and I mean by that, that the distance from your butt to your knees was very long but they were indeed comfortable but I wasn't so comfortable with the price, at over $3,000 for a single lounge chair.
    Cheers,
    Barbara

    @wuff,
    You've actually sat in a Chesterfield, wow, I never have!!!
    I didn't know that they have a long seat and as I'm short too 5'1" it would no doubt be useless for me as well.
    Cheers,
    Barbara

    I think I have only sat in a chesterfield in a shop. They have a great visual impact - the grandeur, the workmanship...
