I've seen what we call a geodesic dome locally. In fact, that style has been used for a few churches around here. However, never quite like this. It seems to have combined with a farmhouse and produced quite an intriguing child. I'm going to guess the United States.

asquithoatley... I'm not sure that those type of houses are really any more expensive than their "regular" counterparts. I'm attaching a link that gives listings for some dome homes and the pricing seems to be in keeping with the square footage and acreage prices for that area. Some of the houses look quite interesting.
