Generally, make sure pallets are stamped with “HT”, which means they haven’t been exposed to chemicals (at least not in the treating process.) Avoid unmarked pallets or those with “MB” for methyl bromide. Hi Rozzi Klomp, I would not only increase the size of your kitchen, but I'd look at swapping your living and dining areas. The current layout looks to provide a very long and narrow living area (3 x 6m?). A great way to check how each 'space' works is to consider the furniture layout for the living and dining areas. This will highlight how each zone works individually, as well as how each responds/interacts with your views, the kitchen, and related circulation. Understanding how each space works individually, and together, will inform the shape and layout of your kitchen design. Considering this our suggestions are: Locate bench and cupboards along the wall backing onto garage (relocate laundry to garage 'store' area). This will provide you with additional storage and/bench space. It could accommodate the stove, wall oven, fridge etc. Increase the size of the island bench. This bench could be orientated to the view, or the dining area. This would depend on your preference for facing view or using the bench as 'gathering' space (cooking whilst preparing food and /or breakfast bar). Depending on the orientation of the central bench would it be better as an island or peninsular bench? Make sure you have adequate circulation within the kitchen (between benches/ joinery) and around the kitchen to ensure good circulation and function.

We rotate vanities to be in line with robes in WIR - we can change the robe to makeup table & drawers with chair going underneath of its bench. Please see attached sketch. Can you have a slab floor for an easement carport these days? I know years ago you could not. It just occurred to me, do you mean easement or setback? Just to confirm, is north to the top of the map? That's very challenging as the northern property has reasonably good orientation, dependent on overshadowing by the neighbours though, but the southern property will be dark and cold, unless you do some fancy architectural solutions with clerestory windows, and I have no idea if you are allowed to have clerestory windows on the inside of a duplex, plus you do not want to create potential roof drainage issues. Is there any reason for not considering one property behind the other, and two storey? Another question, how flat is the block? It is surprising how much slope can become apparent on what looks like a reasonably flat block when the levelling is done.
