Comments (16)I just finished my kitchen with Laminex riven wood grain in sublime teak, Caesarstone buttermilk bench top and splash back, and Preference oak in parana colour. It is an earth tone brownish hue and am quite happy with that. Your greyish colour theme with dark wood accent is nice. There are many shades of wood floor that you can choose to match or contrast with the rest of kitchen....See MoreWhat colour floor tiles would look best with an Uba tuba bench top?
Comments (4)I think that would look great with floorboards in a classic walnut colour, that would definitely look great with the light cabinets. Comments (28)It's the floor colour that's the main problem, neither one thing nor the other, and certainly wrong with the benchtop. Leave the wall tiles if you like that sort of thing and find a way of covering the floor probably with laminate planks on an underlay. We have a European Birch golden coloured timber floor but softer grey splashback and it looks fine. It's not an award winner but the floor and cabinet carcases had been there twenty years and it was affordable. Don't even think about painting the floor or putting down mats but a clear plastic runner in front of the sink works well for us....See Morekitchen bench top colour
Comments (10)I would not use a white stone, such as a Carrera Marble in any kitchen, no matter what the colour of the cabinetwork due to the porosity and risk of staining. Better to use a reconstituted stone benchtop which is manufactured to look like stone, such as Caeserstone, or one of its competitors. If you have the budget look at Dekton for whitish stone-like benchtops. As far as the monochomatic scheme it can look very smart, but will depend on the amount of natural light and artificial light in the room. Perhaps consider doing the overheads in white, and paying special attention to your choice of splashback. You may also want to consider how long you will live in your home, as black kitchens are very much on trend, and in ten years time they will have dated and look very 2018.
