Having said that, each project we do is quite unique, for it is based on the specific space and on the client's peculiar requirements. Just as an example, please find attached a draft of a small kitchen (2,400 mm plus 600 mm fridge) which we actually have on display, with large soft closing drawers just under the cook top and a wall oven. It is just one of the possible options and maybe not the right one for you, but it shows a different way to equip a limited space with almost everything (sink + hob + integrated dishwasher & fridge + oven + designer range-hood + dish rack + over head and open shelves + 4 drawers + waste disposal system).

Hey Amba, There is no reason why you explicitly can't use a 90cm rangehood over a 110cm freestanding oven as long as the rangehood has a good extraction rate. Having a boost mode could also help when you do chose to cook something with excess steam or fragrance because it will work even harder to extract it. However, you aren't guaranteed to suck up absolutely everything because of the smaller size. This could have a negative effect on the paintwork around your oven (but it is hard to say as I do not know your cooking frequency or the types of meals you prefer). That being said, in terms of aesthetics I think investing in a larger rangehood is a good idea. If this is something that is important to you, I recommend shopping around. A few appliance stores are having warehouse sales and clearance sales at this time of year, so it'd be a good time to buy. I hope this helps!

is there any space to lower the floor without compromising new flooring or height of cooker or could you have an oven in a different location and install only the cooktop in the chimney? ...years ago we were able to install an industrial strength exhaust fan inside a chimney without a range hood but discuss with your electrician before assuming modern standards ... i would prefer the cooker in a different location as the chimney is uncomfortable to work at, difficult to clean and install electrical wiring and subject to invasion by possums

After seeing your kitchen, I would go with three pieces. Two the length of the bench, and one the length of the cooktop, extending to the ceiling behind the splash back. The kitchen looks too bare for just one straight piece. You could maybe install open shelves either side of range hood, or overhead cupboards.
