need help with my bathroom

I want to use reds in my new bathroom. Already planned to have a wall with large red tiles (same width than the bathtub, and over the tub) and a white stand up vanity with top red glass sink. Floor and rest of walls are light color large tiles perhaps beige or light with grey tint. What do you think?

Well, red is not my favourite colour, so my comment is of course affected by that. I decided to find some pics of red bathrooms that I liked. In all the ones I chose, the tiles/walls are the heroes and generally the rest of the room is kept neutral. Therefore, I would probably not do the red sink. I'd love to see your finished result, whatever you decide. That's the great thing about Houzz - seeing the different styles of different people.

Thank you for the bathroom pictures. It does give me some good perspective. Yes the red sink is quite bold, although the cabinet is white it is a strong statement to say the least. Not sure why it attracted me!

based on the accurate dimensions the most economical update would be to replace the spa with a shower over bath, keep the existing vanity and toilet, reuse existing taps and retile but, any bath renovation is always much more expensive than imagined, and the unexpected expenses (eg asbestos under tiles) can add up and a minimum of ten thousand for a very modest upgrade wouldn't be surprising...If the bathroom is in acceptable condition especially if there's any possibility of a future expansion towards the backyard that could affect the current position of bathroom and laundry) i suggest (subject to confirmation from a plumber) that you consider reorganising the other spaces and sacrifice the wiw to create an ensuite with linen storage taken off the middle bedroom..surprisingly an extra bathroom could be less expensive than renovating the old one but i would still allow at least $10,000 with careful planning

We renovated our 2400x3000 bathroom with a layout along the lines of Siriuskey's suggestion. We allowed 900 for bath (includes space to get mop in around back -use a narrower built-in or back to wall style free-standing to conserve on width) 900 for shower (could go down to 800 since elbow room is 'shared' with bath). We have extra space around the toilet, so your slightly smaller dimensions should be ok. We have towel rail opposite shower (with a heating vent to keep the space warm when drying off plus help dry out the shower cubicle), but they could be placed above bath if vanity needs to go there. I agree with cloudpants re colour on the tiled wall & the rest white would be my choice. It is such a strong colour and will dominate so getting the balance right will mean all the difference so I would happily use it but just on the wall.

I personally also love red, but would use it only in a space such a bathroom with restraint. Depending on the size of your bathroom space, (which is not indicated here), I would be a little cautious in the liberal use of red. If the colour of your tile is warm it will make the space feel smaller and also warmer, so the aspect of the room is also important as, in summer, it could feel quite hot if there is incoming daylight combined with steam etc. My other point of caution is that it is more difficult and costlier to alter red tiles & basin in the future if you tire of them, as opposed to red paint. Perhaps you might be better served obtaining your red highlights in another form?
