I rather think the last comment is moe the point, it really depends on the style and position of the home as to which colour would work better, than simply deciding if you should go bold or subtle. The first colour by the way is a mustard not yellow but a nice colour all the same however, I'm not sure if I would want such a bold colour greeting my guests, although I do understand that sometimes if your front door isn't set in a way that draws people to the right location that a bold colour can be helpful!!

Personally if I were to put a runner down the area I'd keep it either plain or a very soft muted colour palate maybe with the grey and natural colours as right now it looks quite classy so you don't want to make it to bold or in your face just soft and calming for the area to enhance it all as one look. I don't really think you need one at all as I love the softness of the area as a whole as it is, sometimes less is more but it once again comes down to personal taste.

Ok. I am a little confused where to head. I need a future vision for all components of house and fence to make the little decisions. The pool blue tiles I love but not sure how to tie in with all the fences internal and external and with house especially if this green goes anywhere else ? But I have bought a " green paint" dulux scott's pine very similar to what was there but it is quite wet here so I stumbled on a photo edit option and have done an unskilled mock up on a photo and taken a photo of it in the meantime (as I couldnt work out how to save it!!! ) But although the green is lighter than actual paint I have bought I can actually (ok it has taken me a while) see how the green would work. But if I do that what would I do will both my green fence and my maroon fence from the outside. I also tried to track down junior navy and couldnt find that colour anywhere? I have slate in need of a little tlc inside front door which I love. I know for some people they find it hard to clean or dated. Its individual and I am beginning to subscribe to conscious consumerism. Lets be clear my house has had renos from some different eras so was and is going to be earthy but eclectic and individual in decorating style.

Because we can park a second car in the drive we won’t take the steps all the way down to the propertys edge but stick with 2 steps. The builder suggested railings but I’m not keen on it! He said maybe make the bottom step the feature and the smaller step on top. How wide should we stretch the steps across? Thanks heaps in advance
