Window frame colour help
Hi all, would love some advice. Almost done finalising everything with our builder but there is one last thing I am unsure about & thats window frame colour. Should we tie in with our hogs bristle half walls or stand out a bit with a more brown tone? Tossing up between Colorbond Paperbark or Colorbond Jasper. We're going for slightly darker contrasting overhead cbds- Pesto Linea, in kitchen/ same darker colour for vanities, laundry cbds and same colour for our slats in the lounge room as our feature/let light in etc. I've attached some photos of parador oak castell flooring, bathroom tiles, cesear stone 'creme brulee' bench top and all kitchen base cupboards will be New Antique White- so very light.Our carpet will
be a darker brown. Any advice greatly appreciated Will try to attach photos - having issues

Comments (1)You wont be able to strip them back to silver you'll need to paint over them. Can be DIY with a lot of patience and tape. And to get a good result you need to remove the sliding window and any hardware. Spray paint in a can is the easiest but can add up. For a contemporary design I have firmly decided that dark bronze or black frames suit much better as they are visually recessive and give the optical illusion of larger glazing and help create an indoor-outdoor connection. White frames tend to focus your eyes on the frames/window rather than the space and form, however you can get these to work if you use very slender frames (which are more expensive) or if you are purposefully using traditional design cues. I can’t have anodised aluminium silver for windows like they are already because the company doesn’t do them anymore. They will much thicker and stand out more Choices are light gray or cream. 7 years agoWe chose silver as this goes with everything and will not age. In fact you can hardly notice the colour as it does not stand out, and lets other features stand out. Photos attached

7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoPaperbark too yellow and limits your window treatment choices and jasper too dark. We went with surfmist - a soft pale warm white with a hint of grey.
