It is a shame your original selection is no longer available, but rather than thinking of either your your alternate options as a compromise, perhaps they actually present an opportunity! I think that the basin shape of the Arto gives a cleaner line and think it is a good idea to stay in keeping with other items you have in the house already. As not dimensions are provided it is not clear, but I think yo may have an issue placing a liquid soap dispenser in an easily accessible position on the top of either basin - you may need to consider another dispensing option. Vanities appear to be slim line which leads me to think space is at a premium & that being the case, having 2 doors on the vanity cupboard may be advantageous as they of of course take less room to open either individually or together. Sounds like a nice tub. I have heard goo things about resurfacing, if done by a professional. I'd expect you could get ten years or more out of it. Could you upload a photo to here?

sounds like an excellent idea and i would use a recessed vanity basin rather than surface mounted and consider having the edge of the vanity made with a rounded end so that the corner next to the toilet doesn't have any sharp point

our plumber correctly installed our wall mounted spouts over the centre of the basin ie water directed to the plug hole but make sure that the basin is mounted forward of the vanity and spout is shorter rather than longer as the water can spurt forward if turned on too hard by unsuspecting guests
