My new ensuite
Comments (17)Thanks Mel. I'm probably way older than you and there's a saying that I've heard said for many years "All good things come to those that wait" So hard now to wait in such a fast world, seems waiting isn't an option for some people who want everything yesterday!!! You say you don't have the talent building from scratch, neither do I but I just did whatever hubby told me to do and voila, so to speak ha-ha Hubby is a mechanic but also able to put his hand to anything. Those bricks that you can see in the first and second photo, were the foundation bricks to carry our limestone bricks that you can see in the frame photo. In total I layed over 6,000 red bricks with hubby's directions and all completely invisible now. I had the time and simply said to hubby, you show me how and I will give it a red hot go and I did, so proud of myself ha-ha Also put most of the battens up on the roof too, I'm younger and lighter than hubby ha-ha, so I climbed up there like a monkey and hubby simply handed me the pieces of timber, drill and screws were in my nail bag. We have managed to have a cathedral ceiling in the pool room and once again, I was up there like a monkey, helping to put up the rafters and bracing. If your have a passion like I do, you will surprise yourself I assure you....See Moreensuite design
Comments (4)space is much too big for just a bathroom...my suggestion includes a generous walk in wardrobe, a separate bathroom with 2400mm wide vanity with twin basins, fully enclosed separate toilet, an enclosed 1500 wide shower and space for an 1800 long free standing bathtub (with low window you could lay back in the bath and look at the garden ?)...See MoreI need some advice on main bedroom with ensuite layout
Comments (20)It would be hard to go past OKL plan, This layout gives a partner sharing the room a space to come in late or go early without disturbing each other by moving the door along the wall which allows for extra robe space that can be closed off with the bathroom via a sliding door. The large bedroom window could be shuttered to provide an attractive bedhead, privacy and light when needed The wall on the other side of the bed could have builtin storage on either end of a desk/vanity which could be closed off with bifold or retractable doors. A TV could be mounted/recessed within the bathroom wall cheers...See MoreCreate the right flow between master, ensuite and walk-in dressing
Comments (15)To offer real ideas it is important to have dimensions, plus it would be interesting to see the original ground floor before the proposed changes Can I ask how many people will be living in the house, kids, parents etc. Lots of things to consider without moving two many brick walls...See MoreAwal
