There will be no island, but there will be dining table, like this: I was thinking to put 3-4 pedant lights over kitchen countertop, like on this image: Additionaly, under lowest shelf will be led task light, and probably above dining table will be pedant lamp also. Tall chimney column will be made in bricks, so we are thinking to put small, gentle accent light from the top, but that light should be only for decoration purpose. Will that be ok? Is it too little/too much?

Before replacing your curtains as this can be quite expensive for such a large window, if they are in good condition, add a band of extra fabric to the bottom in what ever suits you, your existing curtain track can then be moved up to the ceiling for good looking full length curtains without the large round eyelets, could save you a lot of money, I would look at replacing/removing the sheers cheers
