Advice needed:Dining area & curtains in sunroom
Comments (36)You have very nice chairs! Take the rug out, remove the two end chairs, paint the table white like the color in the wallpaper, move one chair to desk, add a mirror on the wallpaper wall to break up the wall and add depth to the room (white or deep gray frame) and use you budget and add new pillows to the couch with more grays and whites....See MoreNeed advice for updating awful, dated faux federation!
Comments (30)ensimpson, Please do not render that brick. It is quite a nice brick and render can look very cheap and often done poorly cracks and looks even worse. If you don't like the dutch cables, you can go about removing them. These are not primary roof structure typically, but there will be a little work in making good the roof where they were. Alternatively, give these gables a function, place a fixed louvre, like you have shown in the attached image and allow the roof to vent through them. This will also impact the comfort of the home as there will be less heat buildup in the roof cavity. I agree with the comment above, the driveway is very prominent. This is partly the perspective of this image, but you could consider options for the driveway paving. I do not think painting grey is a good one. Repaving with a natural grey material could be as there would be more life and texture to it, but it is an expensive one....See MoreAdvice needed on our balustrades
Comments (5)Budget? Glass is expensive, looks great in certain contexts but similarly can be not that great considering the cost unless it's done super well. In your case because you have a 4m high drop you'd need a handrail either way. Unless it's consistent with the rest of the design/finishes probably other options arguably a more appropriate balance. Define your needs/function and balance the options to a viable cost. I'd agree with oklouise, something along the lines of existing updated to code probably the best balance for aesthetic, function, maintenance and cost....See MoreKitchen re design advice needed please
Comments (49)thank you for your advise. I have put images of the outside of the house as that where the dining room is from there we will be bringing the decking out 3 metres which will create an out - indoor eating. this is the most finished room giving you an idea of the colour and house. all blue grey tones. sorry about stuff around but a reno house is hard to find spaces below is kitchen as is looking out to the dining through that open servery but we are taking most of that wall out to make an open space - its very small step down below into the dining through the left door way. below is the now dining. the table is very small and hard to pull chairs in and out of hence the indoor out door considerations. belwo is the outdoor looking in. from those doors we are putting a 3 metre decking i think. we have a lot of yard so its easy to do...See Moresiriuskey
