Generally 2 pack is more expensive. I'm not aware of pricing for the polytec venette range. I have polytec white gloss in my kitchen, and looks good. But does show fingerprints in certain light. The polytec venette range is supposed to, not show fingerprints. A 2 pack kitchen would also show fingerprints. I would suggest you get a quote and go from there. But you already have a very good alternative in your tender.

as usual price depends on quality and labour but basic flatpac white laminate kitchen cabinets and counters cost about $5000-$15000 plus installation, splashbacks, tiles, taps, handles, lighting, sinks, appliances etc and all the trades: plumber, gas fitter, electrician, tiler etc... a custom made kitchen will dramatically increase the price at least double or triple for the fitted cabinets and counters but other costs are similar subject to quality and careful selections of fixtures but sometimes it more cost effective to save elsewhere than scrimp on the most important expensive room in the house but our last tiny holiday house kitchen was built out of a 40 year old kitchen we recycled from another property and, including the old sink and flatpac counter and new handles cost about $200 and our most recent custom made modest mid sized kitchen was $25,000 for laminate cabinetry and counters (stone counters would have added another $9000) but putting together flatpacs can be tedious and difficult to get a quality finish

is the room extra hot or cold as well as wet? start with asking the Council about building approval for the original sun room then a building inspection to identify the source of the leaks..there are Building Inspectors (check local services) who can give you a basic condition report for a fee..if the building was never a legal living room and has major problems with the structure it may be better to KDR but if the concrete floor and the roof structure are legal and in good fixable order then you might rethink all the windows, have the roof and guttering checked and repaired, lose some of the windows, reclad outside walls, insulate and line the inside walls to cover over the brick columns and make a more traditional looking lounge but, if you're not happy with the floor height, size shape or location of the room it may be time to consider a whole house rethink....to repair and redecorate the existing room and raise the floor (an extra slab or a timber framed higher floor to match the original house as long as the ceiling height will still be legal) but, without any major structural problems and very good luck with trades and materials) i'd start with at least $30,000 but to replace the whole building around $100,000 probably more but if you plan to spend that amount it might be time to rethink the whole house to make sure that you get the best value from a big renovation... there's a lot of different skills and tradespeople needed so the easiest (not cheapest) would be to employ a builder who takes control of the whole project, organises all the materials and different workers in the correct order and then you pay the builder for their services and they pay for everything but usually better to ask a builder for a fixed price contract so you know what to expect

always depends on surprises eg is there any asbestos in the walls and floor (with asbestos add extra thousands) and think about how furniture will be arranged ....would removing the whole wall give you any better furniture arrangements and consider moving the new master bedroom door to open in the bathroom hallway (and close up the other two doors but how would you patch the walls, floor and ceiling if the whole wall is removed...what are the walls and ceiling lined with and are there plaster cornices and decorative ceilings?... you will need an electrician to remove the existing wiring to make it safe for demolition and then come back later to install the new light switches and good time to add an extra power point or two... say two half days about $1000, a carpenter to safely demolish and rebuild anything that needs extra support, fill in and open up new doorway, rehang recycled old door, add architraves and patch skirting boards...maybe two days if you can help with demolition and rubbish removal and cost say $2000, a plasterer to repair plaster walls and ceilings say $1000 although a carpenter can usually do minor platerboard repairs and maybe $500 to repaint the new rooms if you do all the work yourselves plus whatever floorcoverings need to be replaced ...so expect about $5000 - $10,000 assuming no major problems ..but only a quote for your job will be sure
