need help for space and light in new one bedroom apartment
Comments (5)I agree, a unified floor will help with the feeling of a bigger, uninterrupted floor. I think the white on walls is fine, although I also think a soft but warmer tone might be suitable so the ambience is still warm and inviting. I can see an angled wall that appears lighter than the left of kitchen, I would hang a large mirror on this wall, to create a false room beyond, the angle will help reinforce this idea, and is a nice touch to a dining area, however informal. I would also take your lounge and try to position it facing your window. I assumes there's one in the far end we cannot see, the sofa could be away from the island back creating a walkway, and consider relocating your sideboard below it elsewhere. I can imagine it even along the back of the sofa as a console table, a lamp on top would create the perfect scenario for night reading and ambient light....See Moreneed help picking a color for my house

Comments (17)Hi ks! Keep the wall opposite the front door. 1. it gives you privacy 2. it gives you wall space in the kitchen. Take out the right-angle wall coming out from the fireplace side. You'll then have more table/furniture arranging options. Take out the right-angle wall making a 'hallway'. This space then becomes part of the living area rather than a hallway. BUT frame in a door between bed 2 and the kitchen. This would 'close off' the bedroom wing when you want to. And I would love to see a window/windows somewhere along that fireplace wall if at all possible. Your whole living and kitchen area would get so much more light! Hope you guys have some carpentry skills : )...See MoreNeed help - New Build - Front Elevation
Comments (25)From what I can see, the only way to enter and exit the laundry is from the outdoors. Is this intentional? Would you never see yourself or someone else in family popping into the laundry to run a load of clothes? Or wash a dog in the laundry sink? Maybe this is the way it is there?...See Moreatx78730
