I personally think that the painting would go beautifully with a sofa like the one pictured. There are a lot of earth tones in the painting that will pick up in the tones of the sofa. I wouldn't go for a "flat" coloured sofa, instead go for something with a bit of texture like the Tobacco sofa you have pictured. Have your cushions reflect some of the colours in the painting but just be careful or it could end up looking busy. Judging by the pictures you have chose, it looks like you are on the right track. I had a 2nd hand lovely resort style lounge (cane with fabric) which quickly became pulled and tatty after my 2 small dogs had been using it. The leather lounge & two large leather recliners I have show no damage (regardless of long or clipped nails) and both pets love these. Having a blanket the dogs know is theirs is a great idea especially with leather, as the initial cold feeling of leather means both dogs only want to be on the blanket.

you could just pick a colour from your colourful rug to be your curtain colour ..you could also choose a pattern that's already existing in the room..ie swirls or flowery or stripes etc .. the fabric will depends on if you want flowy or heavier if you want two layers and block out.. and the type ..ie heavier for Roman blinds..and drapes etc lighter fabric for curtains
