Without all dimensions hard to really plan. I assume you don’t want couch across window. I would look at putting tv in the opposite smaller corner and maybe getting a small 2 seater couch in the tb corner. It can but up to edge of door no probs as soft edge.

Otherwise look to see if you can move or close a door or 2. It may unlock things a bit. Good luck

Downsides of lounge in front of window is you have back to any view and fading. But in your case I would put couch along that side and the full wall. Then have your tv unit as planned.

Just go to Bunnings or your local electrical store they have gear for this, easy and cheap. Much better use of space to have wall mounted and pivoting if needed

I would just say that a large modular couch will lock you into one configuration and you'll be creating a block both visually and in terms of airflow. Much better to get lighter weight furniture that can be easily moved around, but if watching tv is the primary focus of the room, you'll be aiming for something comfortable. Arcke, that's the point by not having small individual pieces to be moved around with the number of family and friends to cater to. It has a lovely big window and double entrance doors for any requirement regarding airflow. Less is more even larger and much better than having furniture pushed up against the walls like a hall dance. cheers

There are always multiple solutions to design dilemmas! It's about finding the right solution tailored to the individual and the way they want to live. No answer is ever the right answer for everyone.

Always many ways to do things I agree my thought was that with limited space and the numbers this would be a simple way to go, especially for watching TV with family and friends which appeared to be important

If you are looking to purchase furniture, remember that sectional lounges come in all shapes and sizes, from thumping big chunky to modern with legs, even cane for QLD. Something to the floor would most likely be better with the Lego problem.

A sofa with legs to raise it up is definitely easier for lego retrieval and general cleaning with kids. Having lived with small and sometimes awkward living rooms, I would look for a comfy sofa and two petite chairs rather than a larger modular (unless it is truely versatile in layout like the King furniture designs). Before you purchase, use masking tape to rough out the dimensions of the furniture on the floor to give a better idea of how it will come together
