Beginner advice - how can we make our house work??

Hi everyone, we our house as a newly married couple. However, now we have 3 children under 5 - plus inlaws from the country who stay regularly! We'd love to purchase a new home but it's not really something we can afford for the next 5+ years. We're wondering if there is anything we can do to improve our current home to make it more functional and what that possibly would cost? We'd love to open up the kitchen, living if possible, and add a 2nd bathroom or at least toilet. Unfortunately, we can't really see how it's possible? Luckily we have a large deck which we use as second living area. Two kids currently share and Bed 4 is a playroom/guest room with pull out couch. We also need to keep a WFH space as I work two days from home.

We are absolute beginners with no idea about anything! lol

Would it be possible to extend the laundry out under the deck to line up with the kitchen? And add a second toilet in there?

And/or would it be possible to extend the front porch area to provide more scope to rearrange the kitchen/meals. Potentially then add an island running N/S?

Or maybe how to redesign the kitchen without extending?

Or should we just forget any renovations and keep saving for a new home eventually!

Really appreciate any ideas or advice!
