What's the best layout for my fireplace?
Comments (93)haha!!!! Siri - you can have your Eiffel tower angel... give me the beach any day :) Nic - perhaps some driftwood, shells and a jar of sand might help bring the beach to you - just don't knock your sand flying or you'll literally be able to crank up your fireplace and lie down on your sand to sunbake lol....See MoreBEST LAYOUT FOR RENOVATING (SMALL) FAMILY BATHROOM - NO TOILET
Comments (19)Nik Star, I’m jealous of your bigger space ; ) - but so happy you have now been reacquainted with your messing tape! We are toying with the idea of putting a cavity slider in. Thank you Ripple Effekt Siriuskey - yes I really LOVE the concept of a “wet room” - Never imagined that our space was big enough for this but now seeing it’s possible, thinking about trying the bath under the window, then the shower and then vanity on the bottom left corner - just flipping yours slightly. Just trying to find a good bath that’s narrower design to allow for the biggest vanity possible. You are all awesome!...See MoreSeperate toilet and toilet in bathroom?
Comments (6)We have and would always have a separate toilet with it's own hand basin. This way there is no need for visitors to enter any other room in your home. Your bathroom is quite compact without trying to add a toilet & who really wants to sit in the laundry. If it were my house... I would probably utilize that wasted entry space. I would enter into the living room or possibly cover in the landing making it a new entry. Then I would put in an ensuite bathroom where the entry currently is (shower, toilet & small vanity) with barn slider or pocket/cavity sliding door. Making Bed 3 the master bedroom switching out the wardrobe into Bed 1 and adding a new wardrobe for bed 1. Just an idea :-)...See MoreHow best to reno our old fibro home, what to do with the sunroom?
Comments (13)it's great looking old cottage that just needs some TLC but the best investment for a rental would be to increase bedrooms without spending so much that the house needs to earn more income/higher rents to sustain a bigger investment ..my suggestion includes where necessary lining and insulating to make it more comfortable, repair or replace windows, make sure electrical and plumbing is in good safe working order, new lightfittings, floor and window coverings, install an extra toilet in the outdoor laundry, or add an üpstairs laundry and pantry, add pergola covered deck(s) to suit outlook and increase good weather living areas...See MoreDesign Directive-Residential Design
