That is a hard one with those tiles. I would have to think if you did a white, it would kind of work with the colour of your tiles. At the end of the day, they do need to be replaces, but as you said, due to budgeting reasons, you cannot, I can pass on this photo of a nice bathroom with those tiles for you though for inspiration... : )

After much consideration of your photo, I really think you have it right! The gold mirror matches the gold towel rail ! All your other elements, i.e. the plant and stand, match perfectly with and enhance the room's overall look. I think the suggestion of painting the wall behind the mirror, is an excellent one, in a shade of green which would tie in with the tiles on the floor and the plant. You have the ceiling height to handle it. I wouldn't be shy with a dark emerald green to complement the tiles, I think the gold would then really shine and blend with the gold hand rail. Photocopy the pic of the room and using a texta, colour in the wall and see what you think before committing. Be brave. Congrats on a beautiful room! Hi Karina. Haha very funny re your art piece, KitchenAid! Baking is so much fun; I'm a baker from way way back, and you learn by just jumping in and doing it. About the height of your combined dining/bench table, it's pretty important to have a height that's comfortable for you whilst you work. I'm tall and my family is too, so we had the benchtop height built higher so we are not getting backaches from constantly having to bend over to work. It's really more important for the one who does all or most of the cooking & baking to be comfortable as you can spend long periods of time reading and working out recipes, then putting it all together. Likewise, if you are shorter, choose a table that suits you. Best wishes and keep us posted.

I'm definitely a tea towel changer! I have a bazillion of them. I have a few knick knacks and salt pigs and things, a couple 1920's/30's art deco plates on the wall... I can't stand the 'magazine' look... it's like no-one lives there, so I obsess about NOT having the 'The Block' or 'Grand Designs' look.
