Comments (10)Hello Down Under! I love your house. Beautiful and I agree with keeping the color. Really nice. How about replacing the metal staircase with a nice raised deck to fill in that space and give a place to sit and put plants. Then turn the stairs toward the street to make them more inviting. Wooden stairs. As for landscaping after that, well, how about some of those fabulous English borders with lots of perennials? Replace metal awning with wood? Or fabric? Also, if I were you, I would keep the fence. It is ugly but it has great value --especially if you have a dog. How about planting English ivy all along the fence. We have it in our yard growing on a large rock and by the second year it was taking over. This can cover your fence completely and make it look, well, English. It will even grow up the cinder block wall--if you can handle that much ivy. There are some pretty green and white ivy varieties that would look great with your house color. I have another one here that is pale green and white. Not a fast grower but very pretty. Anyway, great house. All the best!...See MoreHelp Needed!! Advice on colours for exterior painting of house

Comments (4)with such a great outlook the house doesn't need much colour but what colour is the roof and windows and are the windows timber or aluminium? my first choice would be to paint over all the blue with a neutral colours like Colorbond Evening Haze and Cove for a much more subtle scheme and keep the walls, roller doors and windows in shades of white, water blast all the paving and use landscaping, outdoor furniture and planters for bling...See MoreExterior Colour Advice Needed!
Comments (7)Was recently like you with yellow. Have just repainted eighteen year old light white washed look brick house (charcoal roof and black windows) that had all dated classic cream trims - garage, front door, eaves, downpipes, patio ceilings etc which I wanted gone. Go to Bunnings or local paint shop and collect all the little sample swatches that appeal to you. Then in my case I bought Dulux A4 size sheets in colours that I liked. You can then compare the Dulux A4 sheets with other brand colours if you want. When you narrow it down you have the option of buying sample pots. I knew I didn't want white (too light) cream (too yellow) or beige (too boring.) Finally made a choice in between cream and beige and am very happy. Looks fresh and bright, goes perfectly with the bricks and no more yellow. As you are painting the full house remember the colour you choose might need to be a shade darker than what you think....See Moregirlguides
