I would suggest painting the wall, but I suspect with your split levels that it would be a mammoth job, so let's not be unrealistic! Staying with practicality, the lounge is near the kitchen, so it's going to need to stand up to some rough love from the kids (and dog?). Colour wise a lot of coastal/beachhead themes have pale lounges then incorporate the navy/yellow or Aqua/coral touches. That said you could still make those colour schemes work with navy if you don't want to get a new lounge. I'm thinking table in the corner, with a lamp, funky cushions and new vibrant artwork, maybe an ottoman or a couple of small ottomans pushed together. What colours do you like?

Hi Tracy, we are still building. I don't have a photo of the doors fully installed yet (the glass was installed today....hooray!) . I'll get a photo when I can (might be a few days as concrete polishing starts tomorrow). To explain the doors- they are 3-panel. The 3rd is fixed, so the first 2 panels retract back behind the fixed panel. There are 2 retractable screens, that also retract back into the 3rd fixed panel. I'm sure if you look through Houzz or even the AWS website, you will see plenty of examples. Mozzies absolutely love my older son and I. It was not optional for us to have unscreened doors or windows!

Hi there! I know how you feel so this is what I would do.... Choose the bed that doesn't fight with the white shutters eg unfortu ately the leather..beautiful, my choice but the criss cross padded buttoning will have the horizontal stark white shutters above .I would want that stunning leather bed be the hero piece. Personally if possible I would change shutters to black same as wall if they have to be there. Sorry I'm not answering your question however although it's not my favourite, the plainest wooden style would probably be the easiest (but not the most stylish) choice. Good luck and all the best!

I've been playing around with a pantry location. Originally, I was going to move the pantry into the laundry with some custom shelving and cut the laundry space in half. Now, Im thinking of cutting into the study area and building a wall there, and converting the new space into a long and narrow walk in pantry. Either that or build half a wall and put built in shelving in the study. Building the extra wall will reduce the need to cover in the door way that is currently in place and instead utilising it. Thoughts? p.s. this isnt too scale.
