Both freestanding and built are good in their own right, and what must be considered is everyone is different and has different tastes. If you like the built in oven and cook top, be sure the oven has the internal room you would like as apposed to the freestanding oven. Bear in mind if you keep the freestanding stove, there are always gaps to the sides which inevitably attract grease and muck over time. Definitely go with what suits you.

We installed this gas log fire in our B & B which has been very well received. We wanted to provide a warm and cosy environment for our winter guests. The wooden shelf above is beautiful wood, not sure what type and there are two cupboards either side, one for DVD's games and CD's and the other houses the technology. The flue is on the outside wall behind the fire place. It is very efficient and effective. It warms the whole apartment including a separate bedroom and kitchen. I would highly recommend this type of heater which is thermostatically controlled and so easy for our guests to use with a remote control.

it doesn't matter..I have a galley kitchen and my oven is a wall oven up high..as one wall is wall to ceiling cupboards..and is pretty much opposite the stove.. just be mindful that you've got enough space to open the oven door..our width/walkway is 1300mm or there about between the wall cupboards and bench.. and a wall oven means you don't have to bend low to open the oven door..

Yes, ensure the stove is completely cold. put tarps on the floor to protect the floor. Disconnect the flue from the stove/fireplace part. Move the stove out of the way. Make sure before doing this, you have a support the same height as the end of the flue. Place the flue on that support. Redo your hearth, and reinstall stove/fire place. Connect flue back to stove. If you are organised and have helpers it is relatively straight forward.
