1970s dining room - wooden doors, white doors or wooden frames?
Comments (40)Daniel Lindahl - I didn't say to get rid of it - I just said to change it for something else - I have a 70's home owner built - cavity brick - Daniel sometimes it is working with what you have in order to keep costs down - paintings - if you have several - can be changed around your home for a interesting look - as our homes are our homes - the paintings - can always be shared in various rooms/walls to suit ones mood....See MoreWhat to do with 70s bronze aluminium window frames?
Comments (3)Probably cheaper to replace with new windows unit actually, unless you can sort the seals, etc. yourself. Some new houses are again using the bronze. Just doing a renovation and granny flat which is using the original bronze. 50 shades of grey is starting fall out of favour so people are looking at using something 'different'. Comments (5)Hi Adele, I decided to roll with them and work the colours around them to draw attention away from the primrose. I’m so happy with the result. We painted the walls Dulux natural white and added new roller blinds in all areas with a view. We installed white shutters on all side windows of the house as they have no view. The shutters of course completely hide the primrose. The dulux natural white paint gave us the beautiful white look we wanted whilst also being a warm enough colour not to clash or highlight the yellow tint of the primrose. We installed a white kitchen and white shutter in the kitchen(no view on this side) We installed new flooring, it has a slight warmth without being yellow. Quantum 5mm Vinyl plank longboard colour Malmo (Choices Flooring) We don’t even notice the primrose anymore. I will attach some photos...See MoreWhat window frame colour should I pick?
Comments (64)We have had the same dilemma with lighter multi colour bricks. We used an interior designer to help.... We painted large sheets of cardboard with colour and put them against the brick... Bought sample pots of colours as cheaper than making big mistake... Monument was recommended against our Sandstone & red/brown fleck bricks... No blue in sight. Other idea is to match a colour in your brick to draw out that colour as per the neighbourhood photo - take a brick to paint store to match. We will use red in brick as feature colour on garden walls....See MoreRuthL
