Room design help - our burbank build
Comments (11)I think a deck with sliding doors off the rumpus at the end of the house would create another awesome space for your family :) Would bed 2 be your guest room? WIP and close to bathroom plus privacy away from main part of the house? I draw up my dodgy plans and dreams on Powerpoint lol - so it's great to get professional and passionate people here in Houzz to help - excellent to have this resource here - fresh eyes are good ;)...See Morepowder room layout ideas?
Comments (4)my suggestion reduces the width of the guest bathroom to a modest ensuite size (1500 wide) or very generous powder room with the extra width added to the study for a built in wardrobe with an 800 wide toilet alcove behind the door for privacy (door must be shut to use the toilet) and a full wardrobe for the study (i've included a queen bed and desk to illustrate the available space and the study and guest room are now interchangeable)...the shower is 1500 x 900, the vanity is 1500 x 500 and toilet depth needs to be less than 700 deep with a carefully positioned door stop to prevent the door banging into the toiletbtw consider making the tall laundry cabinet deeper and wider (ie 750mm) if it's to be used for vacuum cleaner, ironing boards, brooms etc and the counter for the sink also needs to be deeper to neatly enclose the dryer and washing machine with suitable air space all round and easier access for concealed, inside the laundry tub cabinet, taps for the washer and dryer...See MoreNeed design help with our living room
Comments (16)Dark wall looks great, as does the square set ceiling. Great starting point. Whatever lounge you get, make sure it's leather! So much easier to look after when you have children of any age group! My 20 year old drops more crap than the 15 year old does.... Go for a modern classic design so it suits the existing room and won't fall out of fashion (fad). A quality piece should last for decades and always look great. I like julie herberts chosen pictures, I'm no interior designer but I think they're pretty good and on point!...See MorePlease help with design ideas for our rumpus room
Comments (13)I would do the full wall storage and I wouldn’t put the sofa against the back. The room is quite long so I add a 1/2 height nib wall parallel to the sliding door but leaving room to walk in and though. The TV then goes against the nib wall with the sofa facing it. Then in the space behind the sofa you can add a work table....See Morelockmac
