Hi Marie, The ‘cascade’ is beautiful also have a look at the ‘waterhousia’ it’s a weeping Lilly pilly also and the foliage is gorgeous, both would look great with the new dark colours of the ‘loropetulum Chinese fringe flower’ the leaves are a dark plum and the flower bright pink, mass planted in front of the Lilly pillies would look stunning , then with a pink weeping cherry it would be a showstopper, we are spoilt for choice these days, the range is fabulous

I like the look of the outside of the house , and initially I wouldn't change the yellowy beige colour . What I would do is get the concrete block retaining wall either rendered in the same colour as the house , or if the budget ran to it -- get a genuine stone facade . As far as gardens to soften the look , I'd stick to the meditarreanian theme , and do a couple of 2 metre tall green leafy plants in wooden round planters ( half wine barrels or similar ) , and maybe a long , slim garden ( 4 or 5 metres long by 40cm wide ) with marigolds or similar .

I feel that it would be pity to paint an antique Would you consider etching a floral or geometric pattern on the mirror? That would add some white to the cupboard without spoiling something with its own character & patina of age It would be easier to replace the mirror than remove the paint at a later date All the pieces you have chosen are lovely & should sit well together Good luck with the birth of your baby

congratulations...exciting times..as big reader says, get rid of everything that you won't use immediately...assuming limited storage in a rental perhaps the car seat and whatever the framework is can be stored under the cot...place a big sheet under the mattress to hang down and hide the storage...i would move the chair into the corner next to the window and add a small table (a plastic upside down toy box would suit) so you have somewhere to place a drink while you sit with your feet up...the furniture looks lovely so only needs a dust and wipe over and make sure handles are securely attached and clean and add fresh liners inside the drawers, absolutely attach the bookshelf to the wall (only needs small L shaped brackets from hardware store) choose some new bedding in your favourite colours (baby doesn't care as long as you're happy) and add some block out curtains and a lap rug
