I agree with Mel N. It's a relatively closed space and I think with the frames and the light fitting, less is more. An obvious curtain rod would be a step too far I think - pleated curtains on a hidden track would be how I would go.

Losinreno, please speak to your real estate agent. Give him/her a list of the items you would like to take with you. He/she can then go to the buyer with that list. The buyer can then tell him which items they do not want. And negotiate on the items they do want. The buyers may not want your cabinets, or your light fittings. If you do get the items, please ensure any damage to walls is repaired, and light fittings replaced. But, this should of been detailed in the contract, not assumed. Your real estate agent should be helping you with this. If you are not getting help, then go to his/her superior for guidance.

I would go for drapes sitting high up to the ceiling and have the same for both windows shown in the picture (tracks at same level). Perhaps something with texture or pattern that has the tones of the wall paint colour. Lots of options with double track systems if want a soft voile for screening or to break the light. You can also do as Julie suggested as well as put curtains up to soften the space.
