Update: foyer design
Comments (15)Thank you everyone for the advice and input. Well, I guess the spice jars must go! I'll have to go out and look for a vase to go there. I really wanted a console on the wall paper wall, but after renovating our kitchen, funds have been redirected, and thus limited. I'm stuck with the round table for now. But painting it is definitely an option. I'm thinking a duck egg color (same as the wall paper). I actually really like the cow hide, maybe the layered look isn't working. I'll try it without the rug underneath....See MoreSuggestions for lounge room revamp
Comments (50)ok hubby tucked in bed now. where was i? this is gonna sound crazy, but i read this once and adored, just have not gotten enough jeans yet. a woven jeans rug! but not the old timey wrap in a circle type. This is like those pot holders we used to make on a loom...you know you go over and under, I can only find the pic on pinterest, and they won't let me download. I also like recycled leather like belts, maybe you could them as an edging. I would make my rug square I think. i am also constantly trying to come up with ideas for old ties. You get them cheap enough and they can be so cool. but you have to mix them with something?...See MorePlease help with my foyer — leads to an entertaining room
Comments (9)Wow Lynda your spaces have great proportions to work with! Country classic with high ceilings & a raw edginess to boot, It could be anything from French provincial to Industrial with classic stone & brick. I'm thinking stone on the steps & floors, white on the wall to the right or an amazing wallpaper & black or white accent furniture & lights. Maybe a chandelier & a beautiful rug under the piano if it is staying there. Keep the brick as it is, great spaces! Depends what style you like... country, classic, industrial, eclectic or other? Plus whether you want to make it light & bright , dark & moody or somewhere in between.....See MoreEntry Hall and Foyer Styling Dilemma
Comments (7)It appears to be a very wide corridor, you could look into a series of framed artworks (similar to the attached picture) and on the opposite wall, some black framed open shelving (refer to the attached photo). Shelving that is 350mm deep should not affect access requirements of the corridor....See Morejodifina
