Consider another street tree nearer the pedestrian entrance, with a plant bed that swirles around to the big wall, and another plant bed on the downhill side of the front walk. Let the guests relax a bit and smile on route to your welcome area.

Is there enough depth to allow for a carport/garage straight in on the brick paved area, this would be better use of the space, perhaps reuse existing carport but allow for light between the new carport and the building. You can use the large timber and metal auto sliding gate/fence that slides to the right side of the front boundary, you can have a smaller gate within this to allow pedestrian access to your front door, or have a separate entrance to the front door on the right hand side of your property.

thank you bigreader. I will look into the fettucine one. I love the limelights but we always have problem with the bug that has the little white sacs. We have lost so many. We spray with white oil but they always win :( I agree, they would look lovely there.
