Carpet density and wear

I am looking to carpet the upstairs in my new home. This includes hallway, three bedrooms including a Walk-in-Robe and a set of 12 steps that lead into my master ensuite area. At the moment I have selected Cavalier Bremworth Samurai Kawa carpet. While we like the loop and colour- I am concerned, as the loops are not tightly positioned together so when you bend the sample you can see the backing of the carpet. This is a concern as the carpet needs to be curved over the stairs. In addition, the carpet seems to pill excessively -much more than other carpet ranges in this brand (such as the transpire or untouched ranges). Does anyone have any experience with the wear of this carpet? Do the wider spaced loops in this carpet make it less wearing and more liable to greater piling and easier flattening). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
