That sounds like a good idea bigreader. The frame is a bronze with a greenish tone and painting the bit between the windows the same colour would make the window look more cohesive. I also want to repaint the concrete verandah that runs around the house (semi-rural with water tanks underneath so don't want to pave etc). Thinking Berger paving paint Jasper which is a darker tone? Thanks...exterior colours are so difficult. .

I used duck egg white on the whole house including eaves and Monument on windows and black trim and railings. Mine is a mid century boxy style but has added textures. I’m very happy with this colour scheme but I probably need to see a picture of yours or even just a style. Works for me, but might not suit yours.

To bring rhythm and flow with the house I would continue to use the monument on the garage door to bring connection of the deck with the house. Use the same for the baton on the deck. If doing the roof look to a similar colour as monument or in fact the same. Perhaps look at Half or Quarter monument for the concrete steps up to the front door. Paint your front door a colour to draw the eye..perhaps a dark, mid blue. The guttering looks in good condition but I would paint that the same as the roof including the downpipes. Go for a standard white under the eaves. I feel like you need something to the left of the garage to balance things out for street appeal. Greenery planted to hide the gap up to bottom of deck but planted towards the street to allow a meter gap to walk through from left of garage.

What colour are your roof, fencing, garage doors and windows? What style house is it? Can you post a pic? If you’re only painting the gutters and trim you aren’t limited to Colorbond colours such as monument/woodland/ironstone. And there may well better a better match.
