This is a rental property I am currently renovating. I am not painting or rendering the brick but rather looking for some trim & guttering colours to give the front a bit more street appeal. Thanks.

To Modernise this without rendering or retiling the roof I would probably recommend to go darker with the trims. My top pick as a colour consultant would be Dulux's Domino for the trim. It will be a little bolder and create a more modern contemporary feel. You can see it pictured below as the trim. Obviously this house has painted their bricks in the shade "teahouse" however it will still look much better on your 1980s "peru" colour bricks! To bring rhythm and flow with the house I would continue to use the monument on the garage door to bring connection of the deck with the house. Use the same for the baton on the deck. If doing the roof look to a similar colour as monument or in fact the same. Perhaps look at Half or Quarter monument for the concrete steps up to the front door. Paint your front door a colour to draw the eye..perhaps a dark, mid blue. The guttering looks in good condition but I would paint that the same as the roof including the downpipes. Go for a standard white under the eaves. I feel like you need something to the left of the garage to balance things out for street appeal. Greenery planted to hide the gap up to bottom of deck but planted towards the street to allow a meter gap to walk through from left of garage.
