Firstly will council permit a carport at front of house? I don’t think you have room. Move the drive off side boundary to give door opening space At least 300mm plus any landscaping. Delete the whole front fence. You may want to curve the path to driveway if you want some front fence.

as already suggested first check with council about the carport as there's probably not enough space to build to the side or front boundaries and your neighbour might not appreciate blocking light into their windows but, given approval, i would have a roof at the same shape and level as the verandah roof and continue that same height across the whole building to include a carport with minimal posts on the boundary and i would pave the whole front yard at a suitable slope to allow for extra reversing and/or parking space and no lawn to mow and widen the driveway fence opening and fill in the rest of the fence with or without a higher front fence with automatic sliding gates across the driveway

Two disadvantages I see in the idea you found. The clothesline is over lawn so using it can easily result in wearing a track through the grass to it, and from experience lifting a mower to a different level gets old real quick.

I need lawn, maybe not that much you’re right. I think there would be decking, then lawn. Not sure what/or how to style it if there’s no lawn, I can’t see that far. Need to see images in order to know what I might like. There’ll definitely be a shed.

Lawn is a weekly chore so only have as much as you need. In addition to what I said about access for the mower, if it's for a childrens play area a retaining wall in the middle reduces functional space and creates a hazard. A retaining wall could be used to edge the garden bed along the back fence.

Don't make the garden beds very narrow, finding suitable narrow hedging plants that don't need constant cutting back is a challenge and having the space for an informal hedge will reduce maintenance. It looks like you want some privacy at the back fence so need to allow for larger shrubs there.

Think about whether the landscaping can increase comfort for the house, for example a tree for summer shade.
