Hi, I found this great list a while back (unfort I can recall the sources to give them credit) but have been using it with great success in our older home. We used Dulux Vivid white in our kitchen and intend to use Asian Ivory in our living areas, both look amazing with wood. But if you are keeping the limed effect on the wood, you might to to experiment with sample pots as Tilly suggested. In that pic the last one looks best but I’m wondering if the lighting is right as the Smartstone (3rd) looks slightly pink and it certainly isn’t (I have it in my bathrooms). Also, see what the samples look like with the laminate sample vertical and the stone horizontal as that’s hi they are going to be relative to each other. The light on a horizontal plane might give a slightly different colour.

Just be aware that the purer the white the more colour will be reflected off the floor. Your timber floor has some strong reddish tones, so any pure white walls will pick up a slight pink tinge as the red colour will be reflected off the floor, especially with any direct sunlight bouncing off the floor. Sample pots are the way to go, or steer away from the purer whites and go to warmer off-whites and beiges where the pink tinge will be less noticeable (but still there), Best of luck, Dr Retro of Dr Retro House Calls and Dr Retro Virtual Visits.

We have the same challenge with those cream window frames. If you use window coverings (I will probably add warm white blinds and sheers) think about what they will look like from the outside as well. Stark white will look wrong with our style of home. I love plantation shutters, but again, can’t have them because they’d look terrible from outside.
