Boy, I would hate to see any fabric at those windows. The shape and the trim is what makes them so outstanding. Have you considered exterior blinds?

Such a great view! Have you thought about woven woods? You can get them in light colors (white and off white) to match your color scheme and you can get them angled as well. I would recommend motorized shades so they're easy to raise and lower. These will also provide you with a clean, yet natural looking product.

The easiest solution for odd windows are plantation shutters, they can be made with arches, angled tops, ovals, trapezoids... you name it

Do you have to cover for sun, privacy? If not don't very nice the way they are. if want something go white grazy fabric, just on ends. Sheer.

Because of shape of windows, get in a pro. To discuss options. Roller shades would be my choice, they come in black out and go up out of sight. Get in white.

You have probably already taken care of your problem, but I just saw it today. If you've not already done something, you could put some gauzey white curtains hung from the ceiling (similar to outdoor curtains or canopy bed type curtains) between the bedroom and sitting area. You could run a long metal rod (or use long conduit painted) straight across the room. You would probably need to run a bracket straight up the the ceiling in the middle. That way you wouldn't have to hang anything on the window. When you go to bed, you could close them & then open in the morning.

Venetians and plantation shutters are too hard to clean!

I would go with white plantation shutters - keeps your architectural look/lines. You can also select the shutters to have two parts in one panel also for the ones down the bottom - so half way have one part (of one so its not two different ones) you can shut completely and the top part you can adjust to still see but with complete privacy in the bottom (you could have in the morning when lying in bed), or you open and shut them around the same amount. I did that in my hall way so that I can completely close the bottom half but the top part of the same shutter I can open slightly for the light etc etc but still have privacy. Shutters give you so many possibilities for privacy, lighting etc depending on the person.

Plantation shutters are SOOOOO easy to clean - close them fully - wipe them one side and then open the frame away from the window and then wipe them still closed the others side - then you only have to wipe odd bits. (Mine are white painted) I also don't have a bar running vertically down them - I wanted mine to be more clean lined - which also assists with keeping them clean.

Do you need to cover them for any reason? light etc? Otherwise leave them as they are. They are the hero in the picture. Don't take that away.

Try using qualityblinds.com.au to design yourself! it's better to use roller blinds though
