Comments (204)Goodness gracious, mention a name here and it starts a whole new conversation. Our local library has the complete series of Bewitched on DVD so I like to get it out during non-ratings periods when there is nothing else to watch. I though Samantha was absolutely gorgeous, shame she died young. I remember seeing Agnes Moorehead in a few movies but it was so hard to see her without the Endora makeup, I kept waiting for her to zap something. You know Hitchcock wasn't a very nice person, I always loved Marnie and The Birds with Tippi Hedren she was such a brilliant actress but Hitchcock ruined her career - she claimed because she wouldn't sleep with him. He did lock a lot of actors and actresses into contracts and really controlled their careers. Mousemaker - a Gladys Kravitz here is called "Mrs. Sydney Morning Herald" one of our leading newspapers....See MoreWhat size rug for our family room?
Comments (7)Lower right. You don't neccessarily have to have all 4 feet of sofa on the rug, but you should have at least the front 2. You'tt probably want a more durable, washable rug because of it's location at the door. Best length would have to be judged based on door location and some sensible distance from TV -your 10 - 20 cm? Out of curiousity, what is the white box in the upper right of the room? Is it movable? If it is, it looks like your sofa could go on that wall, and a light chair (or 2) where sofa currently is. Then the area rug would be centred on the sofa, the chair legs might not be on it, and rug would be away from the patio door. Is that any better?...See MoreAre paint swatches an invitation to offer an opinion?
Comments (17)I'd ask them which one they're leaning toward and hope you could say something nice about their choice. If not, I'd ask if they'd considered whatever color you personally think would be nice. For me, I asked my neighbors, bluntly. I wanted their very biased opinion as I will be inside looking out and they will be across the street and next to me looking at my house ALL the time! I definitely steered clear of colors the DIDN'T want to see on my house. Ultimately I went for a color that at the time was not used on our street at all but blended with and complimented the houses next to me. I love it and most of the neighbors have approached me and told me what an improvement it was over the prior owner's color choice. (buttercup yellow with a bright blue door and white trim in case you're wondering.)...See MoreBalcony screening
Comments (17)louvres are expensive ..our remote controlled one for our roof costed us 16-18K as had to go through council for permits..it also depends on how big the space is to be installed..this was done a few years back so prices might have gone up..considering our sliding sunroof was 26K we got a bargain with that..as louvres are not water tight.....See MoreBecky Harris
