Comments (10)These 2 articles might provide more guidance. [Choosing Exterior Paint Palette[(https://www.houzz.com.au/magazine/5-easy-tips-for-choosing-your-exterior-paint-palette-stsetivw-vs~3317364) http://www.stylishlivablespaces.com/exterior-colours/tips-for-a-sucessful-exterior-colour-scheme I'd paint samples on large boards rather then areas on the house. That way you can move them around & see how they look on all aspects at different times of the day. Also, try view the colour on its on and not best to one of the others. If you haven't found the ideal colour today, revisit the store and look at they're entire catalogue, not just paint chips they have on display. Good luck!...See MoreMatching SW Sea Salt colour green-grey
Comments (21)I know this is an old post but just in case anyone is still looking for Sherwin Williams Sea Salt paint...... When Wattyle were still owned by Sherwin Williams, a couple of years ago now??, I asked the Head Office of Wattyl if they could help me get some Sea Salt in Australia. I'm in Sydney and they advised I needed to find one of their stores with a Hydrochroma machine(not all of them have one) to have Sea Salt made up due to the type of tint used in the paint. They also provided the tint mix. I went to Wattyl in Brookvale and they made me up 4 litres of Sea Salt paint. It's a great colour but looks pretty bland in the tin. I don't know whether the Wattyl white base changes how it looks either. Anyway, anyone wanting Sea Salt can have it made up at the Brookvale store because they have the name and tint mix in their computer. Now they aren't owned by Sherwin Williams I don't know if they can access any other of their colours as they don't have access to their database anymore....See MoreColour advice - dark wood skirting/grey wall/warm oak floor
Comments (17)What natural light do you get in the room/what orientation? i.e. is it a 'cold' or 'warm' room? If it's a colder room, I'd go with a grey with orange/red undertones to warm it up a bit, or if it's a warm room you could get away with a cooler grey, maybe green undertones to compliment the maroon. Or you could even try a green rather than grey. The Aerobus is a blueish grey so will be cooler. As others have said you would probably want a lighter tone than this for the walls (unless you're purposely going for a dark dramatic mood). 'Miller Mood' is a couple of shades up in the Colour Atlas. Get sample pots and paint a section on each wall, or paint a white bit of card and stick to the wall to see how the light is at different times of day....See MoreHelp me choose the perfect grey for my kitchen cabinets
Comments (69)You are kind to say that, Julie. Hubby also washed and polished the floorboards in the two rooms we decided to retain. They look much better as well. This has been fun project; don't quite know what I'll do with myself after it's completed! :) although, in saying that, there is the garden here to keep us occupied...!...See Moreclaphands
