I picked up a couple of old lamps at a garage sale thinking I could find a use for them in the garden. When I got them home my husband was gobsmacked that I only paid $40 for the pair as the they were solid brass, he said the brass in them was worth a lot more than that. We cleaned them up, polished them and gave the painted parts a couple of coats of clear lacquer. I was then told they were too good to go in the garden! Hubby did a bit of research online and found an identical lamp for sale for about $500 - for one lamp, not a pair. They are mid century banquet lamps and they look rather stunning on our dinner table.

I found what I think is an original Eames Time Life executive chair! It's tan, has a rip in the leather, and needs a whole lot of love, but it is beautiful (even if its a replica).

Many of my favourite baskets I use for storing and picking items from my garden are roadside curb collection finds, as is my exercise bike and first ever out door table and chairs. The latter served me well for a number of years, until I upgraded and returned them to my own curb for someone else to use. I loved seeing someone else find joy in the stuff I put out each year and have found much pleasure in my own finds over the years! Old tools have also been worth their weight in gold. Great quality and have lasted me years!
