Because the fireplace is converted to gas, I had the hearth removed and new hardwood installed flush against it. A custom blue/gray stained block mantel was made and I designed custom book-matched walnut cabinets and floating shelves topped with white quartz (a kitchen slab remnant) to replace the outdated wet bar.
